Question for those who are in store pick up.

When do you guys get emails for these that its ready for pick up?

Also my friend put me as a pick up person and put my phone number and my email when he did the “someone else will pick up”. So will my friend and I both get the email?

Im asking on behalf of my friend who is freaking out right now as he never done preorder and this would be his very first time ordering a watch for in store pick up. Thx

Can't speak to Apple but I've done this several times with Best Buy and every time, both people get the notification emails. So I'd imagine Apple do a similar thing.

Ok @Shh This is confusing the timings don't even match. Especially the Origin Scan time. Were you on a special charter flight? Maybe he arrived through Atlas Air, Inc? Any experts out there can confirm, please.

I could have sworn that in previous years the trade-in kit usually arrives before the phone, can't remember. But I actually just checked my order page now and I can see the the trade-in kit will arrive next week. Wasn't showing anything about the trade-in kit prior

I know a few years ago, my AW trade-in boxes showed up maybe 3 days before launch? I’ve never upgraded my phone through Apple financing, though, always AT&T, so I dunno when they ship those boxes.

Mine already says shipped. In fact, now I have gotten an email from UPS directly that says "package scheduled for delivery tomorrow", but tracking sadly still just says "Label Created".

It is sad. This year is different and Apple is being covert with its shipping info.

When did you order your iPhone?

5:20 AM. Store was down and I then tried twice to do store pickup near the place I was planning to have lunch with a friend (who since cancelled) and the times disappeared when I went to check out. I then selected ship to my home and got a Sept 28 - Oct 3 delivery window. Still planning to see if I can get an iPhone in store tomorrow. We will see. I am fine with the delayed delivery but would be nice to have it sooner.

Any chance that it is the Trade in kit instead of the AirPod?

Long story but I ended up having to buy my current iPhone on Citizens. So, I started a whole new loan so no way this could be a trade in box. Also, I ordered each item separately. Just helps me keep track of deliveries easier. Also have an Ultra on order as well that I purchased on its own.

Good luck with the hold. If I recall, several times in years past I have seen the CC Hold option in the mobile app after the import scan where they wanted me to pay, but in the web interface it gave me the hold at not charge. And it was in the web interface I made this change several days ago, while the phone was still in ZZ.

Strange that mobile app would only offer "UPS stores", and didn't offer the UPS Customer Center, but the Safari web interface on my MBP did.

And here is the info I currently have regarding the CC pickup:

My husband and I have the same problem with AT&T! We can’t get them to remove our previous address and update to the current address for certain data fields in their records. So every time I set up a new iPhone I have to remember to manually erase the old address and enter my current address that we’ve had for the past 8 years that emergency services will be sent to if I ever make a 911 call.

But of course they have our correct billing address. At least I think they do. My husband pays online so I’m not sure.

In other snafus the last few preorders My Choice doesn’t work for me to give me my tracking information. My husband and I both tried to fix it all but nothing is showing up.

Maybe next year!

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one, I was thinking it was me bringing a grey raincloud over my head every time I tried to do anything, especially this year. UPS my choice also sometimes just decides not to show my packages, I think all these companies need to get it together and fix their systems that only half work! Yes, maybe next year they'll all get it right, but I won't get my hopes up :/

Part of iUP, when do I hear anything about my trade-in kit? Usually I would've gotten it by now or at least received confirmation that it was shipping

Doing an in-store pickup or having it shipped? I’m doing an in-store and my instructions on the Apple website say I have to give it back then. I thought even the pick-up orders were given a box to send it back in.
