Yuki to AMR as a reserve with Honda sponsorship. Lawson and Hadjar stay at Racing Bulls. A one year contract at Red Bull racing with Max? ;)

I doubt either Max or Lewis would accept that. :p

AMR have already ruled out Yuki - they're going with Jak Crawford for 2026. I am sure Hadjar is going to get promoted to the second Red Bull Racing seat and I expect Yuki to be sent back to Racing Bulls to be a stalking horse for either Liam Lawson or Arvid Lindblad.

Speaking of Ferrari, I was listening to the new podcast with Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert hosted by The Race and Damon noted that after being dropped by Williams, Jean Todt offered him the second seat at Ferrari, however he would have had to be the #2 driver to Michael and he declined.

Lewis recently said he had a 'long contract' with Ferrari which hints its longer than the currently signed 2 year contract. I think he would be mad to stay beyond 2026 and hopefully if he still wants to race into his mid 40's, he should be looking elsewhere. Not sure there is an awful lot of options that we know of, and maybe he'll call it a day.

Gotta feel like a prison sentence right about now...

His contract is believed to be for 2025 and 2026 with an option for 2027 that he can exercise. I could also see the contract having a "Brand Ambassador" clause like Fernando Alonso is believed to have with Aston Martin when he stops driving for the F1 team.

Williams running another stunning livery for Las Vegas.

Pirelli was considering bringing the C6 to Las Vegas before the summer break, but with the universal panning of the compound, Vegas will be C3-C5.

Pirelli has also noted that due to tire longevity concerns, no team will be allowed to run any tire more than 25 laps at Qatar, which will mean a mandatory two pit stops for the event. They will be bringing the hardest compounds, so expect C1-C3 (though there evidently there is an even harder C0 compound).

The trouble with a mandatory two stops is everyone is basically doing the same thing. Yes you can start on hards or softs, but it takes a lot of the options off the table.

I like Sauber's Checkered Flag Livery for Vegas. Symbolizes the end in a way....

That is a nice livery.

Speaking of Sauber-Audi, they have concluded development for the 2026 powertrain and are now focusing on developing the 2027-2028 version. Sauber has had no visibility into the Ferrari powertrains they lease due to IP reasons so Audi is effectively starting fresh in terms of chassis packaging and integration.

My interpretation of this is that Audi is not considering the 2026 powertrain "done and dusted" and I expect they will be tweaking it over the season at least in terms of reliability and efficiency if not for power, as there is no "engine freeze" like now. But it does seem that Audi is going to use 2026 as an opportunity to come to an understanding of how their powertrain integrates into the chassis and such and then roll that data into the development of the 2027/2028 powertrains with which they will then start their true campaign as an F1 factory team.

My top 5 predictions for the Las Vegas GP:

1. VER
2. LEC
3. PIA
4. RUS
5. NOR

If this happens, it will certainly make the WDC fight even more interesting.

So Piastri's title fight is effectively over...

Not getting any time to do a qualifying run under qualifying conditions could hurt him.

Top prediction for Vegas: Will they finally learn how to secure manholes?

Not a chance.

On the one hand, you have to ask "how hard can it be?", but on the other, the amount of "suction" the cars must be generating down the straights has to be crazy.

Well, my response having been to Vegas (not the race) would be they simply do a poor job. COTA is the only proper venue in the US as far as I'm concerned.
