Is there any long term downside to running 2133 MHz RAM in a machine with an 1867 MHz RAM spec? Kingston has a disclaimer at the bottom of their HyperX spec sheet about exceeding manufacturer specs? Probably CYA, but in a ~$3,000 iMac...

Yes, but all RAM will go down to the speed of the slowest modules, so spending the extra on 2133MHz would be wasted.

Run through a test with Geekbench 32bits and it looks nice +15% and 25% in memory performance.
