Aaaawww man! Ups is on strike today, so I'm actually not receiving my package today. Had the same procedure on Apple watchs release day.

Called apple and the will send me one of those digital usb c adapters for free..

If I was you I'd just return and buy a new one. Especially if a stock model - do a straight exchange in store.

This is a bit sad but I may be stalking UPS planes at the moment but there were no UPS flights to Dubai on April 24th! There were 2 emirates planes that left Shanghai to dubai that day though.

That tracking doesn't seem to make sense.

Also congrats to everybody who has received theirs already. Always fun to get a new toy

its the m7. I took it to the ups drop off that apple told me to use which I did. when I asked for a receipt - the guy said they don't give them out. I feel somewhat sick now as I have no proof that I have dropped off my £1000+ laptop.

Same boat here. My MacBook m7 @256 was supposed to arrive today. Didn't get the adapter... Maybe I should call apple too...

i do have the tracking number but it doesn't seem to be working yet which has me doubly worried. hopefully tomorrow afternoon it will start working and i will stop worrying.

I've asked for another M7 replacement from the online store. i had a quick go on it - and its an amazing little laptop. so small and light... and it seems to run world of warcraft quite well which is a bonus. i was getting at least 40fps on low settings on a lowish resolution. its going to seem like a long wait for the replacement

I see! I seem to recall that when you use that replacement option the new order is processed as soon as you drop the package off to the access point. So that should save time.

Don't worry about the no receipt thing. I had a panic like that recently and was highly suspicious of the shopkeeper but all came good. You'll know for sure tomorrow when it arrives back with Apple!

Wow... The email from Apple earlier this week said my new silver m7/256 rMB would be delivered on Friday 4/29. When I checked the tracking number on FedEx.com last night it said it would be delivered Thursday 4/28. But when I got home today, 4/27, it had been delivered! Woohoo. Received my Space Gray M5 / 512 today.

I sold my first gen back in January, thinking that I could replace it with a single iPad Pro... using my MacBook Pro 15 as my primary portable workhorse. I was wrong. The MacBook Pro is (relatively) HUGE, connected to multiple monitors and peripherals, and subsequently doesn't leave my desk often.

Love the iPad Pro for certain tasks (mostly diagraming / idea sketching / note taking), but as a software engineer / researcher / IT geek, I need a full blown OS and dev/UNIX/virtualization tools as well, in a package that can accommodate frequent quick and effortless transport. So I got the new version of my favorite little workhorse back.

I loved the previous generation model, and I love this one even more. A lot of power in a tiny, take it anywhere package; it does everything I need it to do and has yet to fail me at any task.

I have a pretty complete Apple arsenal right now. Not gonna lie, pretty proud.

I will be that guy - I am an IT geek and I figured that the iPad is a horrible device for our line of work, even for basic stuff when I got my iPad Gen 1 on first day. Yes, it is a great device for my 7yr old who can learn science and craft from youtube. Just surprised you thought the "Pro" would solve your needs - it goes to show how Apple makes the promotion so tempting. Cant wait for that fad to die, or atleast be replaced with something more efficient.

My m7/512 was ordered on the 19th, shipped on the 22nd - I was a fool and picked to merge it with the AV adapter. Got a status update that it's en route to customer, and the approx. date is May 9th I still haven't received a tracking number - so I can only assume that the two packages haven't been merged yet.

I'll remember to never merge orders again *life lesson*

Ordered mine as soon as it popped up on the Apple store and received it on Monday. Base model in rose gold. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. But I just filled out the return form on the Apple store. I cannot adjust to the keyboard. I touch type at roughly 100wpm. My speed was probably half that on the rMB and the number of typos went through the roof. I was willing to give it a few weeks, but I realized I was putting it down after a half hour or so because my fingers hurt. I'm a writer. That's just not going to work for me.
