I have the 2015 1.2GHz 512GB Macbook. I bought it in December on one of Best Buy's holiday deals to replace my MacBook Pro Retina to free up some funds. It has been a workhorse for me, performing better than I thought. It hasn't been 100% perfect, it gets hot with my processor intensive duties, and slows a bit when I get have a lot going on, but has done what I needed for the most part. When I bought it, I kind of knew I would probably upgrade to the next generation when I knew my financial situation would be back in order.
When the Spec bumps were announced, I figured I would wait for the reviews to see what the real world results would be. Reading a number of reviews, I have been pretty impressed. The extra battery, graphics increase, processor speed, SSD speed, I went to my EPP website and discovered the cost for the 1.3GHz is slightly more than the 1.2GHz. The performance should be significant enough over my 2015 to make it worth it for me to where I can hold on to this for a few years to come.
I looked up resell prices on Ebay and see I can pretty much get back what I paid for my 2015, I also have a Barclays Card and confirmed 18 month interest free so when I pay it off in 3 months Im not paying the extra. It sat in the cart for about an hour before I completed the sale. So estimated date is between 4/29- 5/3. If tracking ends up showing for a Friday arrival, I am thinking it may be a work at home day
