2nd gen Macbook ordered!!

picked mine up yesterday, loving the rosegold. Pretty impressed with performance.
 
Ordered a Silver m7/256 today. Delivery expected between 4-29 & 5-3. This will replace my current 2015 Space Gray 1.2/512 that I am selling to a relative. Definitely looking forward to comparing the performance. And as much as I liked the novelty of a Space Gray MacBook, I am going "old school" back to silver. Something about it just says, "I'm a Mac." Although my daughter and I looked at the Rose Gold in store and she absolutely loved it. Me, I found it a little too pink for my tastes.

Mine showed Monday delivery all the way until the package was at my door on Friday......
Then they updated it to Friday. ;)
 
Bought a gold 512 m5. Just finished setting it up. This is gonna replace my 2012 rMBP 15", which is starting to fail me - the keyboard is acting up, and I have since relegated it to a desktop set up.

On to the 12" rMB, I'm really loving the portability already - especially when compared to the beast of my previous laptop.

Keyboard is alright, I'm making a few more typos than usual. Hopefully that will rectify itself it time.

Display is amazing, so are the speakers and trackpad.

Performance is very respectable. Having noticed any slow downs at all.

The only unanswered question now is battery life.
 
Cancelled my order, and picked-up the space-grey M3 today in the Apple store. Loving it, also the keyboard is great for me. Great laptop for doing all the basic tasks I want to do with it, the only sound coming from it is the tapping of the keys. For gaming I have my PS4, downloading stuff my base computer, the entry model has enough speed for my needs.
 
Mine is also at the sort facility in my town, still showing Wednesday delivery though, wonder if I could call fedex and pick it up early
 
Just put in my order for Space grey M7 + 256gb. I wish I could just get one from the store but I don't like the French keyboard.

Delivery was 2-6 May if I am not mistaken. With the American keyboard.
 
I am so glad that the improved perfomrnace of the M5 processor,
and I think I will order the M5 with 512 SSD version.
Since the different between M5 and M7 is not much.
 
Just looked and now mine is back in Memphis lol, said it was at destination sort facility but now back in Memphis with international shipment release-import next to it again
 
Staying home from work today awaiting delivery of my m3. DHL states between 8 and 16 o'clock, so not much to go on. I am sure it won't be here until 16 anyway... :p
 
I just got an Email, saying my order is in processing now, although i also got that mail on friday.. aww man.. strange things going on with my order - as usual....

I have the Rose Gold iPad Pro but opted for the Space Gray MacBook (currently on order - m7/256). I saw one in the store and there is too much visible pink for my taste vs. the iPad Pro where everyone else sees it is pink but I just see the trim along the sides.

Yes. They are basically extremely low-voltage versions of the mobile Core i5.

I'm late to the party; just ordered Space Grey m5/512 today, 25 April. They had a gold one at the local store, but I just wasn't sure if a gold laptop works for me. This will be my new go everywhere machine replacing a 2009 Air that still works, but like its owner, is slowing down.

I am anxious to see how this new machine is for traveling. It should be great.
 
I have the 2015 1.2GHz 512GB Macbook. I bought it in December on one of Best Buy's holiday deals to replace my MacBook Pro Retina to free up some funds. It has been a workhorse for me, performing better than I thought. It hasn't been 100% perfect, it gets hot with my processor intensive duties, and slows a bit when I get have a lot going on, but has done what I needed for the most part. When I bought it, I kind of knew I would probably upgrade to the next generation when I knew my financial situation would be back in order.

When the Spec bumps were announced, I figured I would wait for the reviews to see what the real world results would be. Reading a number of reviews, I have been pretty impressed. The extra battery, graphics increase, processor speed, SSD speed, I went to my EPP website and discovered the cost for the 1.3GHz is slightly more than the 1.2GHz. The performance should be significant enough over my 2015 to make it worth it for me to where I can hold on to this for a few years to come.

I looked up resell prices on Ebay and see I can pretty much get back what I paid for my 2015, I also have a Barclays Card and confirmed 18 month interest free so when I pay it off in 3 months Im not paying the extra. It sat in the cart for about an hour before I completed the sale. So estimated date is between 4/29- 5/3. If tracking ends up showing for a Friday arrival, I am thinking it may be a work at home day ;)
