3.01 update?

Ok I restored via itunes again and then ran redsnow again and now i have all of the standard icons back on my iphone, it even let me restore to the backup I made before I started all of this lark lol.

But I still have the very same issue that I had before i restored, which is that the SMS program will not save any text messages in the list. It will send and receive them fine, but after leaving the program and then going back into the program any messages that were there are gone?

I have set the phone to not show a preview of the message but it still does for some reason?
Previous to my restoring issues I had installed another SMS program called SMSTools via cydia and it still would not retain any sent or received messages in the list.

Are there any boffins here that can give me a successful solution to this problem as this is the only thing that is wrong with my phone now?

I helped my cousin to JB his iphone 2g and he had the same SMS problem. He also has the problem with Notes where he saved notes then going out to springboard then going back into Notes then the things he saved would vanish.

Solution: I helped him JB again and set it up as New iPhone. Tried the SMS and Notes problem and it's fixed. I asked him not to restore it because it might be the problem.
