I've been using mine for work for two months now and I haven't really had any problems. A bit of adjustment here and there, but it's definitely worth not having to lug around a 15'' laptop.

I agree totally that next to my iPhone and mbp I have no real need for the iPad. But that said I has become my most used device at home.

By no stretch of the imagination could it replace my mbp but I am glad that now I'm not turning it on day after day it's lifespan may be a little longer. . . . . Nothing more painful than when your laptop that suited all your needs goes boom and you need to spend a fresh £1000.

2 Months with the iPad: Why I'm not selling it.

Writing:
For short little lists and notes, I would jot them down quickly on my iPad as it starts up faster and if I have my lap available I can type far better on it than the iPhone. For long essays and papers, I would use my iPad as the keyboard is the same size as regular laptop and it's so much more portable than 5lbs. The iPad becomes an extraordinarydevice in regards to writing.

Photos:
To show pictures of something I took to a friend, I would just use my iPad as no picture seems nice when it's 4 inches or w.e dimensions exactly are. To actually view, organize, and edit photos, I would use my iPad as it's portable and so much faster plus with my finger I have more control than a mouse pointer. Again, iPad is so much more useful.

Browsing:
For quick Google searches, or Wikipedia articles, I would just use my iPad as... well do I even need to explain this?. For heavier websites (not just the ones with Flash), I would use my iPad as with portability and precise finger control the web feels more friendly than a non-touch 5lb bulk.

Games:
For short games I play on the bus, I would use my iPad as with HD graphics and bigger screen I can do so much more. For full out FPS gaming or RTS, I would use my Macbook Okay sure a full FPS would need a bulky laptop.

In short, I only used my iPad to do everything!. And I don't do that alot on either my iPhone or my macbook junk. And with the release of iBooks for iPhone, the iPad has become more useful because it's a pain reading on such a small screen when you're used to iPad screen size!.

Anyways. That's it. My last night on my iDevices excluding the beloved iPad!.

I find the iPad nice to display photos. Better than my laptop. And I have a copy of my photos that are smaller than on my computer.
