has anyone else called macmall to confirm this?
please dont post false statements with out a source.
Are you suggesting that they won't be shipping them to Apple Retail stores also? That makes no sense. Yes, Apple let people reserve for the April 3rd launch, but that was for Wi-Fi models only, they didn't give you the option to reserve the 3G for retail pickup because there was no date announced. You can be pretty certain that the same day online orders are delivered will be the same day it will be available at the Apple retail stores.
Is the 3G only sold through Apple and not Best Buy?
Do we even know that, since there's no contract and you don't need to do anything 'AT&T' to use it, now or ever.Nothing has been said about Best Buy and the 3G yet. Keep in mind that AT&T is providing the 3G so they'll surely have them in their own stores.

Only false If it didn't happen. As i said macmall said, which if you would take two seconds and look at the website you can only order over the phone, that it would ship on the 23. It is kinda hard to link a phone conversation. Also i said take it as it is, for it could be bs or it could change. Whatever i have seen much more bs threads and i was just trying to pass info that i had for those who were waiting on 3g's.
Well, no, we don't even "know" that BestBuy is selling the 3G because there has been no official announcement. If AT&T is the data provider I'm sure they entered into an agreement with Apple to sell a device which is running on their own system. That just makes sense. They want in on the profit from the hardware too. The only thing AT&T isn't actually selling that is running on their system is the Nexus One.
Do you even know what you're talking about?
And when they sell them you can come back here and kiss my a**.
Oh, I will. Don't worry. In fact, the day the 3G shipping date and retail availibility is announced, I'll make a thread. If ATT is selling them, I will grovel at your feet. I will call you wise and much bigger than I in so many ways.
But if it turns out that, nope. Only Apple and Best Buy. And no plans at all of selling them in AT&T stores...Well. I doubt you'll acknowledge my thread anyway.

AT&T to sell Apple iPad 3G in stores?
One of our AT&T connects down south just hit us up with some pretty interesting info… According to them, AT&T stores will be selling the 3G version of the Apple iPad, complete with built-in display. We’re told that the general plan is to convert one or two existing netbook display sections in each corporate AT&T location into a pretty substantial iPad display area. More as we get it…
Apparently you're the one who doesn't have any idea what you're talking about. Trying to prove your point you verified it. You can't use the Nexus as an example because only Google sells the Nexus. You can't buy it from T-mobile or AT&T directly. Google is the sole vendor of the phone.
By the way, from Boy Genius Report...
That article is from February 15. You'd think that after two months, if AT&T had any plans of selling the 3G, it would've been leaked for sure by now.
The 23rd would be awesome!
Just started in another thread. iPad shown in a new AT&T video. Do you want to start groveling now?

Guys started a new pissing match thread please...
Back on topic...i would like it if the 23rd were true; however, the hard evidence just isn't there. I don't know why Apple just can't release the date. The whole secrecy thing gets annoying.
This guy, just a member of a big forum, posts what he says some phone rep at a 3rd party reseller tells him, and acknowledges that it's no sure thing... and other forum members get all upset. What the heck?!
People speculate on this forum all the time. I mean, jeez, this MacRumors. The statements made in these threads aren't the epitome of integrity. Nobody is vetting the veracity. That's not what this forum is about. Not this part of the forum, anyway.
Are you guys upset that someone might be toying with your emotions over an electronic gadget? Lighten up! "But this stranger on a public forum said..."
Ok, I see. I didn't even pay attention to the title. I figure when a date really is known, it'll propagate to all the prominent gadget sites (posted by the site owners or writers) -- and not be limited to one thread on MacRumors. The quibble really is the subject title. The OP could have said "will likely ship" or "rumored to ship" The pissing match is well... it's just that.
