Let the dev know. And this really applies to all apps. They are all figuring out how to make a good widget and what users want. Let them know. I've messaged probably 10 devs with requests for widget changes/enhancements/additions.

I use and like it as well for now but I hope they can add a two or myabe three column option in the middle sized widget. Currently I can only show 6 things in a list.

I always do. I recently reached out to e.g. Forecast Bar, Carrot, Launcher, Cheatsheet, iCatcher podcast player and Shortcuts (Quick open).

Btw my podcast app: iCatcher! Podcast Player just launched their widgets today as well.
Another cool weather app added widgets as well: Hello Weather

I've added both also to the wiki post just now.

Btw in TestFlight there is an amazing widget available called 'Clear Spaces' by @aurthernadeem (Twitter) (which probably will never be allowed in the App Store) which kind of does what also is done as described here with the invisible iOS Home Screen Icons but than to quicker have bigger areas stay empty (not show apps or widgets with content) see also this tweet as retweted by the dev. of a user which created a video about it. A similar type of widget does appear to be available in the App Store which is 'Transparent Widget' but that still shows the name of the widget (although the screenshots seems to suggest otherwise).

I’d love one of the UK train apps to get a widget. Would be really handy today for my journey.

If you are mostly traveling within London there are already ETA (travel times only I believe) and Citymapper which offer widgets but if you are looking for a full UK coverage you need to wait on UK train apps.

Nope, not everyone is in London. I know about the London ones, that's why I specified what I did.

Just got an update from WeatherBug that brings a widget (singular). It is the smallest size and for "your selected location".

Just a general comment: the Today widgets were always a bit niche. A small group that loved them. But too small for many apps to bother making a widget. My hope is that the iOS 14 widgets, with their more visible nature in iOS 14, will encourage app makers that hadn't bothered (I'm looking at you Spotify) to finally make them.

Has anyone tried Sticky Widgets ? Terrific little app to get a note on your home screen. Very straight forward , nothing fancy. I use it to write down a door code when going somewhere I’ll need it without having to search in Contacts.
Thanks for bringing this app to my attention. I downloaded the app to try and just purchased it as this was exactly what I needed to jot down a quick note.

I've added again a couple of widgets to the wiki topic.
The ones that are worth mentioning:

- Standings Widget (soccer scores)
- AnyList (list - my favorite)
- WidgetPet! (a tamagochi like widget)

I do also want to add that it's impossible to add the long list of widget only apps such as all the clock and photo widgets.
I think it's best to mostly stick here to the popular app for which you hope to see a widget and the widgets with unique features.

Anybody come across a single size weather widget that shows 2 locations? I’d like a setup like world clock that reduces the number of widgets.

BBC Weather in the UK has introduced a small widget if it hasn’t already been mentioned

Big fan of Any List as well, but in the widget their logo is taking up too much precious space IMO.

I’m disappointed so far. I feel like the apps I would expect to get widgets haven’t gotten on board yet. For the ones that have, sorry widgets don’t equal subscription in my book. I don’t mind paying a reasonable one time fee, but when your asking for $3-5 a month, sorry but no.

I thought about the, but you could at least have it show active games without a score or just the most recent score that's available. Both better than nothing?
In that type of situation I'd likely just prefer continue using the older widgets for that to make sure they are updating and showing the latest information.

It might be more hassle than its worth. You'll have people thinking it's not working right and all that. So for the Devs, possibly not better than nothing. Just a thought. I am sure though that they will release something. Widgets are still new to Devs. They are figuring them out.
