Isn’t the Display the same? So maybe it’s a psychological thing? If you think something is good then it’s good.
Well, in theory, it should be different (they added more brightness)

Update to pwm away table, with Opple Light Master G3 flicker tool ($50).
True tone and Night Shift off. RWP= reduced white point with brightness at 100%.
Measuring tool is placed exactly 2cm above Oled screen in dark room. Under 12% is considered No Risk.
Tool measured brightness in Lux too. Surpringly my 11 LCD was measured at 400 Lux at 100%, 433 Lux for 15PM.

In conclusion 15 PM is very similar to 14 PM, not better. Their frequencies are both 480 Hz.
@ a busy store with my Opple tool to follow up on my table above.
1. All 15 series run at a 480Hz frequency. iPhone 14 as well. iPhone 13 shows a 100 Hz frequency (bad).
2. In line with pwm away last tests, a quick test of the 15 and 15+ shows modulations about half of the 15P and 15PM, so the non-Pro should be better in theory, I don't have one at home.

My eyes seem quite ok with the 15PM for now, a full week will be necessary to be sure.

Today begins the 4th day with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I still have no complaints other than a little eye fatigue.
But this only happens after 2-3 hours of use, before that I don't feel anything.
But this eye fatigue is certainly normal when you stare at a smartphone display for hours.
I don't have any headaches, no nausea or any other symptoms like I used to.
I couldn't use the iPhone 13/14 Pro/Max for 10 minutes without experiencing severe eye pain and discomfort.
I'm still excited, and if it stays that way, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will remain my smartphone.
I'll continue to report how I'm doing over the next few days. I can highly recommend the iPhone 15 Pro Max so far.

Hi, how are you at present with 15 ProMax? Still, ok?

Hello. Plan to move from xr to 15 pro
On 14 and 14 plus my eyes is ….
But read that 14 and plus have only 60 hz pwm.
Today I take a video in 240 fps of my led tv. Sometimes flickers is visible. Depend on context of video.
But my eyes is good)
So. Is this two situations is similar ? iPhone is flicking . And led lights is flicking on about 120 hz. My eyes is good on tv flickering. And will be good on iPhone flickering on 240 or 480 hz?)

You would have to try the phone for yourself as everyone is different and there is a screen lottery. Example, I'm very sensitive to flicker and have not been able to keep any OLED iPhone. The X gave me immediate eye strain but I could use the iphone 13 for a week before I had to give up. The 15 Pro Max was fine for one evening only. The new OLED Pro iPads also give me immediate irritation.

With regards to a TV flicker: you sit further away and don't stare intensely at it. For example, you don't read small-point text. So I'd say TV flicker is less of an issue for most.

I seem to have some problems with this, the new M4 ipad was problematic for me - sadly.

But my iPhone 14 Plus is just fine and dandy. go figure.

Hello. Some stats from two sources.

15 pro
Notebookcheck
At very low brightness levels, we detected 240 Hz PWM flickering

But on pictures of graphics of measurements on 100% of brightness I see 121 hz!!! Super low

Is it real frequency on 100% brightness??

15 pro max
notebookcheck
at minimum brightness levels, we measured a very constant 240 Hz

Above 76 per cent brightness, the frequency rises to a constant 480 Hz

On pictures of graphics of measurements on 75 percents I see 244 hz. On 100 brightness - 480 hz.

So there graphics equal to text.

On Russian site Ixbt says than 15 pro have 480 hz on any brightness. With different amplitude.

And pro max have on all levels of brightness 480 hz pwm

Where is true?)

There are many factors when it comes to PWM and eye-strain. PWM frequency is only one factor. Modulation depth is another important one.

The summary for all OLED iPhones and OLED iPads, unfortunately, is they flicker and cause issues for many. It’s just very bad technically that Apple continues to use just to increase energy efficiency. That’s the only reason they do it. Very unfortunate.
