Much worse on my iPhone 4s and about the same on my iPad. Charged the iPhone to 100% before I went to bed last night and turned off everything in the multitasking tray. Battery was down to 76% when I got up 6 hours later; and usage showed more than 5 hours, standby was just a little more. The only thing that I have turned on in the notifications is phone, messages, CNN and calendar. Everything is turned off in location services except for Find my iPhone and Siri. My email is set to push and I had received 8 emails overnight. What the heck was my phone doing while I was asleep?

UPDATE: I did a complete restore yesterday, wired to the computer. Made sure the battery was charged to 100% when I went to bed, and when I got up this morning the battery showed 96%, usage was 12 minutes, standby was 7 hours, 16 minutes. It seems that whatever was wrong was "cured" by doing a complete restore. I wonder if originally updating OTA made a difference in my case? It seems that, at least for me, restoring the phone solved the problem completely. YMMV, but I'm happy.

Did you restore as new or restore from backup?

It's the same on my 4S and my first gen iPad, I haven't really played around with the gestures yet. BUT I'm so frustrated with Safari crashing basically every time I'm using it. This had been an issue ever since I updated to iOS 5 and I was hoping this new update would fix it. It's seriously ridiculous.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Is this normal battery life for 5.0.0?
Usage: 40 minutes
Standby: 14 hours 28 minutes
Battery life remaining: 54%

It was in lock mode all night… is this one of the problemed iPhone 4S's?

I have 1hr 38min of usage and 19 hours standby, at 85% battery with my 4s.

I updated to 5.0.1, charged it fully, and even re-enabled some location services, turned Siri back on, and I notice a big difference!!!

I don't really know - I've never had to do this with my previous iPhones. I hit the "restore" button in iTunes and waited through the loooooong restore process, then synced from a back-up. I'm using the heck out of it today and am very pleased so far with the battery life. I wasn't complaining about the battery with 5.0, but this seems even better. More on a par with my iPhone 4.
