The sad truth is people that are anti Apple here ARE still using iPhone and coming to forums called "Macrumors". How pathetic is that?
That's because many people buy a phone that suits their needs not because of the apple logo on the back. Apple is a multibillion dollar corporation and even though Steve Jobs says he loves me, they care more to make a profit.

I've never been to Android forums. Is there even such thing as Droid forums?
Oh yes, quite a few of them and they're very lively, though you generally don't see iPhone posts there. I'm not sure why so many people feel the need to post android/google threads here

Because this isn't an iPhone forum. Macrumors is a Mac site. Some Mac users don't use iPhones.

Android forums are pretty much single purpose. This site is multi-product, and not everyone is 100% Apple in their electronics choice.

Where is the confusion in that ? Is that really a hard concept to grasp ?

I agree, but people have to post more objective points of view rather than just come here and say things like Apple is overpriced and Steve Job's is evil. I get that people like to customize their phones and Android is the better choice for them and I'm fine with that. I don't think most people on this forum will bash people for coming here and saying that Android suits their needs more. However, if I say I don't have issues with my signal or proximity sensor, I get people telling me I'm a Fanboy. I don't agree with that.

Goes both ways. The "Apple does no wrong" crowd isn't any more objective. Let's face it, there's rarely any objective discussion on Internet forums.

However, if I say I don't have issues with my signal or proximity sensor, I get people telling me I'm a Fanboy. I don't agree with that.

You're not a fanboy, you're just ignorant of the actual issue. It's been explained enough times that I won't go into it, but let's just say while it's not noticeable by everyone, everyone has it.

If it's not noticeable it's not really an issue...

If he says he has no issue with his signal, then there is no issue for him. Full stop.

You pass judgement and call him ignorant because you can't be bothered reading what he actually wrote. Insulting his intelligence and insisting he has an issue with his phone when he says he doesn't puts you square into the first 'Apple users are blind faithful' category.

This is not as you claim about disagreeing with Jobs etc, it's simply you denigrating Apple users who like their Apple products. This has gotten to the point of ridiculousness that people can no longer come onto an Apple forum and say they like their Apple product without being insulted. Go somewhere else, please.

Pretty much every Apple-related article on Engadget has a Mac vs. PC war going on in the comments. It's ridiculous.

That's nice.....thanks for proving my point about jackass on forums. I was only speaking about my experience. I have no doubt others have this problem.

I did not call him ignorant nor did I insult him. I said he was ignorant about the issue. He was misinformed, uneducated about that particular problem.

You do understand that even the brightest person on this planet doesn't know everything right ?

If it's not noticeable it's not really an issue...

Yeah, just like diabetes amirite ?

Seriously, just because you don't notice something doesn't mean it's not there. End of paranthesis.

Why does it say people hate apple more than Nazis? That has to be the dumbest point I've ever seen

The point was that if someone stated they didn't experience the issue, they were suddenly blind to any of Apple's faults. That is not the case.

During the peak of this antenna issue, nobody knew what the cause was (and Apple still hasn't confirmed it either). These boards have suffered from an influx of new members that don't think twice about throwing around insults or trolling. But, we're getting off topic here.

So because he doesn't suffer from the issue, he is misinformed and uneducated about the issue?

How about me? I am able to recreate the signal drop if I try to make it drop, but when I actually use the phone like I always do, I don't have the issue. Does that make me uneducated and misinformed?

You continue to insult him for no reason. And I do expect that anyone deeming themselves smarter than others to pass judgement on them for being ignorant, misinformed and uneducated to at least know how to read themselves.

What exactly did he write for you to justify you calling him ignorant, uneducated and misinformed? He wrote that *he* didn't have any issues with *his* signal loss. Yet you feel the right to launch in accusing him of being ignorant like he's some sort of moron that needs educating. For what? Because he made an observation about his own experience? This is more reflective of your own arrogance and blind evangelicalism than any Apple user's.

It's astonishing, really. You do realize that you're actually reinforcing, and continue to obtusely reinforce exactly the very point he made about being belittled just for being happy with his Apple product? You're exactly the type of person he was referring to.

I guess I'm starting to fall into number 4. Used to I could find an Apple computer that fit my needs and that I wanted to buy. But now it is all laptop parts in all in one can't choose your monitor iMacs or the too small can't upgrade mini or the huge don't need quite that much Mac Pro. I've been waiting for years for Apple to bring out something between the mini and the Pro. I was hopeful when news of the new mini first came out but instead of making it bigger Apple made it even smaller. An optical drive, two internal hard drives, upgradable graphics card and choose your own monitor while running OSX. Simple, easy, usable.
Instead I'm supposed to buy a bunch of external devices and clutter things up while raving about the compact size and design elegance of Apple computers. So I'm going from Apple was my first computer experience to wondering how much longer I can get by waiting for Apple until I have to give up and (ugh) go Windows.

Late 2009 and newer iMacs use desktop components now( at least desktop CPU's and HD).

Everyone has diabetes?

Seriously, if something is there but I don't notice it, then I'm not having an "actual issue".

Because a majority of these people are trolling. I sometimes wish MacRumors would take a more proactive stance by locking / deleting the obvious trolling post (both pro and anti Apple).

Yes, but there's also a high volume of posts from iPhone users. They seem to have an unhealthy fixation on google/android
