Last quarter MS = $16.04 billion in revenue
Last quarter Apple = $15.7 billion

Never mind that you're comparing a mostly enterprise-software company to a computer/consumer electronics company. What's the point in comparing earnings? Compare like to like. There is no company like Apple. They are totally unique.

This is not as you claim about disagreeing with Jobs etc, it's simply you denigrating Apple users who like their Apple products. This has gotten to the point of ridiculousness that people can no longer come onto an Apple forum and say they like their Apple product without being insulted. Go somewhere else, please.

Yes. Exactly. It's getting really obnoxious. If I'm posting on an APPLE forum about MACS, I don't need to hear a bunch of people piping up about how Steve Jobs is an evil dictator, or why I should have gotten a PC and saved money, or why Windows 7 is a really great OS and Mac OS X just can't compare. If I wanted to be around a bunch of Windows fanboys, I would've joined a Windows forum or a generic computer/tech forum. On a Mac forum, I expect to find people who like Apple and like discussing Apple products. If I had my own Mac forum, I would have explicit rules against anti-Apple trolling, simply because it detracts from discussion.

I just read the bold sentences on that site. I never knew there was an "Apple culture."

Anyways, I don't have a MBP yet, but I do like Apple's operating system. I don't agree with their pricing, but that's just my opinion. I also prefer Android over iOS. I like Apple computer OS and Android mobile OS. Peace! I'm never coming back to this topic now. :)

There's an old saying - the opposite of love isn't hate; it's indifference. Haters are obviously bothered by something enough to develop a strong emotional response. It's akin to what we see in politics and religion. I do sometimes wonder why Apple haters actually make the time and the effort to come to Apple-related forums to troll and spew their hatred of Apple and their fans. I think we can all agree that the number of such Apple haters is far greater than Apple fans who hate the Android or Windows. How many Apple fans will make the time and the effort to go to Android/Windows forums to troll? Life is too short to spend time hating something.:)

I love Apple and the aura around it. Why?

No other company seem to generate such devout haters or fans as Apple do. Even some of the epic console fanboy wars pale in comparison from what I've seen.

Me? I'm stuck in a tech limbo. Any PC oriented forums I post in, I get scowled at for owning a Mac, here people are negative towards you because I use Android. There are some really good open minded people on either side of the camp tho which is welcomed.

Apple as a company and the people who are for/against it are fascinating! Long may it continue.

Yes for some reason Apple brings out the worst in people. I have owned many phones and if I mention the word Iphone and praise some of it's goodness I get blasted on other forums.
