Really?! That's your dream?!

My dream too, just have a special walk in closet with hundreds of phones propped up neatly on sparkling glass shelves. I'd have a nice sofa as well so I could sit down for hours and enjoy, and of course a wet bar for when friends come over.

From the phone store he worked at..
you are so adorable lol. I apologize if I triggered any of the android fans lmao
Then i quess that store has a really bad luck to get all lemons to their shelve.. Better to avoid that store :D
Or simply avoid android as I have been doing now and I am happier :D

Usually, since discovering reddit, I spend time in various subs because I hate wasting time going to a store or buying online and getting a phone, realizing it has issues and sucks and then have to deal with restock fees, shipping fees and making sure I get refunded.

I usually spend time reading through various subreddits specifically dedicated to these phones to get a feel for what the users think of them. Sure, more people post negatives than positive but even more so, any issues you are likely to also uncover as well.

I also have a lot of friends who are android fanatics (Bless their hearts) and I often get their expertise since one or more of them usually have 2-3 different android models that gives me the chance learn more about them. My best friend is the one who got me into the rom community again when I got my Nexus till I realized android sucks/I hate it.

So my experience is part research and part user experience.
After all, my collection of Android(And even phones in general) eclipses the majority of people who try to tell me how wrong am about android, how great it is compared to IOS and Windows 10 mobile and how wrong I am for speaking negatively against it. Ironically.

Unlike most people who say android sucks, it wasn't because of low end hardware(I have had budget, crap, low, midrange, high end and the super phones as they are being called now). It wasn't because I was using an outdated version and holding onto android from yesteryear. It's simply because with the vast amount of androids I have used....exclusively till 2012 and secondary since 2012, the experience has been poor and it's why I make sure to clue people in when they go into stores to look at IOS and Windows 10 mobile devices these days.

No one thinks you have to love android. However, realize that you're posting in the Alternatives forums, and people here just wanna talk about android phones. If I walked into a coffee shop and told everyone they were stupid for liking coffee, I would upset some people, and rightfully so. The condescending "bless their hearts" also says you're not here to learn people's opinions, but to give yours as fact.

Reddit ...

Ok. All clear, no need to explain further.

Nothing like gaining vicarious artifical experience by reading haterz opinions on a dirth website.

What's wrong with reddit? Serious question here.

I've enjoyed reading r/android comment section even more now compare to this alternative section on MR. Probably because on Reddit, troll posts are buried with downvotes, while on Forum such as MR I have to go through on every posts.

Nothing is wrong with it. Just an attempt for them to try and devalue my point.

I love how you overlook, I also utilize my friend's experience as well as the fact I use my own experience with the amount of androids I have also owned.

But hey focus on one part of my post to try and justify your argument. It'll work. Some day.

I am posting my opinion on an operating system in a thread which shares sentiment to why I dropped Android.
I am not looking to learn anyone's opinion because I don't need your opinion on something that I have experienced and dislike.

I am here to further my education on IOS devices. But you can't get defensive because someone criticizes an OS you like because you disagree.

Not so much reddit in itself, but often the post user comments / commentators are some of the most awful ignorant troll laden responses from people with no real world experience of the topics they are responding to, I have ever had the displeasure in reading. But yes you are quite right, at least they do have a down vote there to try and bury those, but often the proliferation can be boggling. Even the most innocent posts seem to attract the kind of extremists that would make the worst of MacRumors PRSI responses look mild.

I don't think you understand.. Reddit AND worked at a cell phone store, those qualifications are synergistic and as a whole are quite impressive.:p:p

But all jokes aside, I also work at a phone store and also frequent Reddit quite a bit, and from my professional analysis Android is pretty darn stable, and there is high quality Android hardware out there.

Thankfully there is no down vote button here. I personally think Reddit is a cesspool. But to each their own.

We all know Hyperbole at times does reign supreme here amongst the more thoughtful and appropriate posts with each opinion being carefully reviewed by all...

Macrumours is a bloody bog as well, only the range is not as wide, but plenty of mentally challenged to pick from.

I find my Nexus 6P the best smartphone I've ever used to date, FOR ME and my liking, others of course have different opinions

I love the screen size, and the design with a Dbrands skin makes the phone a very sharp looking cool style.

Custom ROM's based off stock Android are the best, they add in the extra missing features stock is lacking. Plus with the theme engine I love the cool dark themes I can run, changing the look of the phone to my liking.

This phone is super smooth and very fluid with never a hint of lag. And I get pretty good battery life of 5.5h to 6h Screen On time.

Is this phone perfect ? Of course not, no phone is. The camera could be better, the screen is just ok, would love the S7 display tech screen instead. And would love a slightly larger battery in it, like 3,800mAh or so. But that's about it.

From what I've seen in Android N beta's I like how polished Google is making Android.

I respect Apple, but for me the iPhone just doesn't do it. I feel handcuffed using it, and it seems very limiting and way too locked down for my taste. But hey "Different strokes, for different folks"

Maybe the bigger iPhone section would be more appropriate then.
I am fine venturing around the forum not segregating myself :)

God forbid I ever listen/read other people's experience and expectations of android alongside my own personal experience :)

Reddit is a cesspool...if you are in cesspool areas.

In most of the tech(Apple, Windows and sigh...android) subreddits they are no different than visiting forums such as imore or macrumors or this new forum I found theappleforum.com that are centered around discussion of whatever OS you are there.

The internet can be called a cesspool but we can't simply label reddit(or the internet) as a cesspool because there is a lot of valuable content and discussion there to be found and had . Simply because reddit, like the internet itself, isn't just one thing.
