It's "like new" from Amazon Warehouse Deals (not a reseller)... should I pull the trigger? Also can get 12 months no interest... I don't need it but damn! No tax no shipping either! And no CA recycle fee BS...

Obviously it's the "base" 64gb model.

Who'd jump on this? It seems like too good a deal for me to pass up!

Hmm... what is your reason for not getting it? Not worth even $798 or you'd rather wait for the new SnB MBA?

Value wise yes its a good deal because the cheapest you can get from apple is $850 + tax refurbished. But as far as would I get it? No. The 4gb ram model is better in terms of future proofing. Keep in mind that osx lion is coming out soon, there is a consensus that 2gb is enough but lion hasnt been released officially so cant be sure.

If you need a decent GPU, get the 2010 model. If you dont need a good gpu, get the new model. Benchmarks show that the integrated graphics in the new sandy bridge processors are good for youtube/hulu and video decoding/encoding but not good for 3d graphics like games.

The new cpu models are in my opinion going to be the same price as the current models so $999 for the base model (perhaps with 4gb of ram?).

I actually got the 11 inch with 4gb of ram the other week and im satisfied.

I would say this is a good deal if it meets your needs. Also in a few months you decided to sell the system you would prob break even or make a little more money.

Not a bad price. But as mentioned above, Apple refurbs are $849 (albeit +tax). But buying from Apple refurbs are a pretty safe bet.

I've had really good luck with all of the stuff from Amazon. My "Good" condition iPod Touch was flawless... maybe a slight hairline on the back... but I didn't even notice anything looking at it for a few days. I returned it ultimately though cause I realized I don't need an iPod Touch when I have an iPad and 2 other iPods.

The Nano I got from them was totally flawless... no question about it at all.

I ordered the MBA... I have 30 days to test it out see if I can fit it into my life!

Well that just depends on the usage of it... it'll mostly be for web surfing and writing... maybe some light photoshopping... and some video watching. I don't see why I'll need 4gb on it... but I guess I'll find out the hard way since I already ordered it.

I have one and 2GB is not an issue for all my work. I use it exclusively for work when traveling. 4GB is not an issue for most basic work and watching the occasional youtube video.

Cheers,

I picked one of these up from Amazon yesterday to replace the one that I bought from the Apple retail store.

Saved me $241 bucks and looks like just a brand new one. Not a scratch to be found on it with the exception that everything was opened.

Im pretty happy with my purchase. I called apple this morning as well and faxed over my receipt. They changed my AppleCare start date to yesterday instead of Feb, when the system was originally purchased from Amazon.

I'd say go for it, you've got nothing to lose. If it shows up damaged, call Amazon and return it. Apple has the refurb for $849.00 plus tax plus overnight shipping to match my amazon prime, i still saved over $100 bucks buying from Amazon.

the best part is there is no tax or the Bull$h!t CA recycle fee!

I'm excited to get mine. I should sell my MBP though cause it really gets no usage anymore.

Dammit... it dropped to 783.99 today. Mine also happened to ship today... :-/
They don't price match... so I ordered the cheaper one and have to send this one back. Grr... that's kind of annoying.

This is pretty tempting! However, I talked myself into getting a 13" with 4GB of ram, so no deal for me.

Now I'm just waiting for the refurbished 13"/4GB to show up, or for the back to school sale to start, whichever comes first. Or, even better, maybe there will be some crazy 10th anniversary sale. I'll probably wait until next week just to be safe.

I think its a fine deal if the battery is not too worn.
2gb for the air is fine for its intended tasks.

How many battery cycles were on it?

You're going through all that for $14? That seems silly what with going through the hassle of packaging and going to wherever you plan to send it through.

No I just have to write "return to sender" on the package when it gets here. I haven't received it yet and then I have to reorder it. Kind of annoying that I'll have to wait a few more days. But they won't price match. So they can eat the shipping cost of both of them.

I'm cheap I guess...
Also I'm more miffed that I haven't even received it yet and they lowered the price. :(

FWIW, there was a mixer I bought for my girlfriend for $239 on Amazon... two days later the price dropped to $206 just before I received it. Dealt with Amazon online chat and got a credit for the difference within 5 minutes.
