Yeah... I'm thinking about it... but the problem is... I'm strapped for cash right now... buying via Amazon saves me 200 bucks plus tax and I get 12 months no interest financing... I mean I could buy the new one from Amazon too but it'll be for only 20 bucks off and tax free... Still deciding.

Finally got it in... typing on it now! Wow it's fast... it doesn't need more than 2gb for my purposes I think... i don't intend to do more than surf and write on this machine. The battery life is AMAZING! I was on for about 2 hours and was only down to about 80%

Just FYI... being "used" it still had 0 battery cycles when I opened it up and had about 40% battery life. It now has 1 charge on it... I guess the previous "owner" either only charged it once or never did at all... Also it's never been registered so my warranty starts as soon as I register it! :)

2 power cycles on the battery when i opened it. Just finished calibrating the battery and showing 99% health.

Mine had 0 Power Cycles when I opened it! :) It showed 99% health for my calibration but after a few more charges I'm up to 100 and it goes 100 mah over the 4608!
This thing is pretty much new. I had Apple change the warranty to May 17th the day I bought it! I think it's a keeper!

"Like new" can mean virtually ANYTHING.

"Like new" does not equal "New." Look at all the posters on the iPad forum who report dings, bad screens and dust under the screen...but who are outside their return period...and then say they will just sell it off to some unsuspecting soul.

Glad you got a good one...but as for me, I'm not a gambling man.

Pass.

The difference is Warehouse Deals isn't the "flea market" that is amazon Marketplace... Warehouse Deals is returned Amazon.com sales... those "used" items are the same as "open item" from brick and mortar stores. Amazon.com does NOT sell iPads that is why the "like new" items aren't exactly like new. But all of Amazon.com's laptops have a 30 day return policy and 15% restocking fee. There was also a note inside my MBA reporting it was checked and restored by someone at Amazon.

The only thing I've gotten from Warehouse Deals that's been a bit iffy is an Espresso maker.

Damn... that IS bad luck... mine had zero. I'm still deciding if i want to keep it. But for that price... I don't think I can ever beat it.

4GB of ram is a must have.

I disagree... for writing and just surfing the net... which is all I'm using this for it works perfectly fine. I'm not really watching any videos... though I've tested it... works great. Even HD videos. But it's not so great with HD Flash videos.

1.6 MBA 11 for 900

I got the MBA with the 1.6 processor, 4 GB Ram, and 128 SSD for 900. Was this a good deal off of Amazon? I know new ones are coming out soon, but I dont need the newest one as my macbook pro is great! (Mid 2010 Model, 256 SSD)

Oh and machine is 9 weeks old.

Eh that's not too shabby... I'd buy Applecare for it if there isn't any on it already though. You have 3 months.

Well being that you bought it used you don't know what the usage pattern of the previous owner was. That would be my biggest reason. I tend to baby most of my stuff and even then I have had failures.

Yeah don't do the return and reorder to save $14. That kind of behavior will just contribute to worse return policies/higher prices in the long run.

Well it shipped from Apple's refurb store as it came in refurb. box, and I got a recent email from Apple thanking me for my purchase. Still think I should? Doesnt the machine come with a 1yr warranty? If machine is 9 weeks old, shouldnt I have until around March of next yr to get Apple Care on it?

I dont know why price was so low as this machine built in APple Store is 1300 with updated processor and 4GB Ram, and I didnt have to pay taxes!

I have about 100GB left on HD after OSX install, I dont see how the 64 SSD would be enough for you. I wouldnt pay more than 675 for that model.

I'm a bit confused... did you buy it used from Amazon or from Apple's refurb store?
I don't see that price at the Apple Refurb store...

Well if it's a refurb FROM Apple that's a crazy huge deal and yes you do get 1 year. I'd go to apple.com and punch in the serial to make sure though.

As for having enough storage... I didn't install any of the iLife programs, don't need them. All I really need is Firefox, Final Draft and Microsoft Office on it... I still have 40+ gb left.

I can still return mine... might do it now if I can get an Ultimate for 900 bucks.

I bought the machine from amazon as refurbished. I did punch in serial number and it has warranty until April 2012. I could sell this thing and prob make a 2-300 profit. I couldnt believe the price for the specs. I am tech savvy, so I had to jump on this. The guy had it advertised under the base macbook air model on amazon though, i had to read the fine print.

That is why I posted my deal. I dont think you shouldv paid that much for the base model. If you are patient you can get a better deal. This machine runs very well I have tested video loopback on it, opened several programs on it, and battery is about 4:30. There are no dents or blemishes on it, it came brand new with the instruction manual, thumbdrive to reinstall OSX, and even the apple stickers lol! Only thing I miss is backlit keyboard I have on MBP. Not sure why Apple got rid of it.

Ah I see... very nice! Mine was actually brand new as it can get... it had 0 battery cycles on it, not a scratch and everything was intact inside the box. The plastic wrap was off though. I also got Apple to post date my purchase date to May 17th. The day I paid for it... It suits my needs perfect... you got really lucky I'm jealous!
