I'm thinking about JBing for the first time... Hoping this is a safe option! Would love actual confirmation from a developer a little more in tune with security...

I would suggest to just restore as new and rejailbreak. Maybe redownload the jailbreak app too just in case it didn't download properly.

I used the pp jailbreak, without installing pp25 of course, and everything has been perfect for me... everything in cydia has worked flawless, as others have said the jailbreak takes longer to download than to JB the device... Using terminal and ifile I have confirmed for my device's at least there are no unwanted files or packages both on iPhone and iPad ... And as for my MacBook pro and the PP JB system file's everything looked similar enough to previous jailbreaks that I'm not concerned about anything personally

I used this jb a few days ago and have not experienced any problems. The process went as smoothly as Taig on Windows only without the need for a virtual machine. I can't vouch for its safety of course, but I haven't personally encountered anything out of the ordinary.

It worked perfect for me, I didn't have any problems and I don't think anyone is spying on me #

what's the big deal? if something goes wrong, just restore.

I think the point is we want to be sure the jailbreak is not doing something nefarious like logging your keystrokes are stealing your credit card data.

As an update to my earlier post: it's been almost a week now with no issues. While this is in no way a guarantee that the jailbreak is safe, so far so good for me.

I too was a bit leery; but it was the easiest jailbreak ever. Also, Cydia loads much more quickly than before.

Could someone tell me how to do this easily without having to re-install all the cydia tweaks etc? like, an easy way that works to backup and restore your settings and tweaks after a clean install and jailbreak? I'm on 8.1.0 now and wanna go to 8.1.2 because of the better wifi thingy.. thanks :D

I prefer to restore, re jailbreak and re download my tweaks as it keeps things in my mind clean.

You can re download tweaks from your Cydia Account.

Alright thanks, not sure what u mean by cydia "account" but I'll look into it, guess it won't take that long to install the 10 tweaks i got on now and hoping my wifi experience will improve from the upgrade :)

You are given a Cydia Account when you purchase apps in Cydia. The purchases are stored so you have easy access to them and don't need to purchase them again.

I keep getting this, what is it?

Put phone into airplane mode also then click the pp on bottom left and make sure it's unchecked then hit middle button there on the picture above, on the next screen click the one on the right not the left and everything will go smooth
