It’s not compatible with that model at all due to that reason. Please see the list of supported models.

When I look at your website, I get the impression that your upgrade is available for the 17" MBP Mid-2010 A1297, and just out of stock?

I see. Seems like I was incorrect in my initial assumption about where the Wi-Fi module lives. This is my machine:

You can pull the bottom lid off and you should be able to see the Wi-Fi card on top of the optical drive. Only takes a quick minute.

Ah yes, I see now. Here's my machine (was doing a software update so I couldn't take it apart earlier). Please let us know if you consider selling just the adapter. I already have extra Broadcom 4.1 cards here from an earlier project. :)

It's more complex than just an adapter. There is limited amount of space in the 13" MBPs, so it doesn't make sense having multiple card SKUs and more overhead.

I wrecked the LVDS port / or the backlight fuse is out on the MBP & it will soon be used on a desk with an external monitor hooked to wired internet.
So I'm considering to sell mine, Europe based, Belgium. If anyone would be interested...

Since these cards are sold out faster than freshly baked croissants I thought there might have been some interest but I was wrong. 😂

Hi decat,
I am interested but I don't think you have the whole kit for a 13'' MBP (the new bracket)

It's also possible to 'create' the bracket by just cutting the original AirPort bracket. We included these with 13" orders to save time for people is all.

Not sure how much shipping would be to the states. Lol

fyzz08 might take it, we're handling stuff through pm.
Out of curiosity, I did a quick check for the rates and it's less than I expected, about 20$.

Thank you troop231
Here's how mine looks after the cut.
Would you recommend painting it or it's fine just like that?

We have now added a review section to the 802.11ac product page. If you would like to leave a review, that is much appreciated. Happy New Year to everyone! :)

Nice, I think a big point to drive home is that if you can successfully load macOS Big Sur on these machines this WiFi/BT module does not need any additional patching to be recognized right when you start up on a new Big Sur installation.

I'll drop a review to try and help tinkerers a bit.

edit: the wireless card I had left is now gone!

To those who are contacting me about this card for the 15" A1286 machines - Yes it is still available. I am flexible with payment directly on on some place like eBay. PayPal, Venmo, CashApp is all fine. I am just selling at cost, PayPal/eBay adds fees, but can easily be avoided with Venmo/cashapp.

Awesome, thank you!

Can one of these be adapted to work with the 2012–early 2013 15" MBP Retina A1398?

I'm advising a friend on upgrading the SATA blade unique to these and the 2012 iMac. I don't want to tell him about these unless it is doable — if so, I'll tell him to get on the waitlist.

He can order BCM943602CS card (Apple part # 653-0194) for A1398.
