Yeah. And they weren't so terrible and didn't last as long as they do nowadays
Some lasted for some time, some were pretty bad as well. The point is that things were never perfect, and often not even close to it. Granted that they were better at times here and there and that in various aspects they are worse for one reason or another (or an unknown reason), but there wasn't this holy perfection that was around that some people often try to refer to.

Apple sure isn't the same old company. Just look at the stock price over the last year smh
And in that same time period they made more money that they ever made before and that any company ever made before...so...yeah...

Just because your making money doesn't mean you are who you used to be. Kobe dropped 60 pts his last game. Does that still make him worthy of playing in this league? No. He had his run and at this point Apple had their run. They haven't done crap since Steve died. Please introduce me to a world changing innovation

Technology has capped. You can't introduce a new world changing innovation if pretty much everything has been innovated. Things are only going to get smaller and faster, but nothing 'new'.

Agreed, but name another company that has done anything in the interim. We may be reaching the point of diminishing returns, much like the TV industry. Most people don't want 3D or VR in their cell phones, so what's next?

Doesn't seem like that has anything to do with what I pointed out. In any case, this is all fairly off topic, so we can leave it at that.

Okay, then if you have a good idea to innovate something, go patent it and create it. Its not like Apple, Google and Microsoft aren't trying to find new things, just its very limited because we have progressed so far in such a short amount of time.

This. There isn't much left to work with.

To answer my own question, I could see cell phones and other appliances morphing into conduits for true personal digital assistants one day. I was pretty impressed with the Amazon Echo I bought for my son as a present....not so much for what it can currently do, but for its potential.

And I think thats the problem. Currently, I think we are now limited by the 'technology' of our time. Years from now, new things will be innovated. But to say Apple isn't trying is unfair. They have all the money in the world, obviously they want to innovate everything and anything they can. But they are limited.

The Apple Watch was rushed. They felt under pressure and they had to do something. I know that isn't Johnny ive's best work. It's clunky and doesn't do crap

I disagree. I thoroughly enjoy my Apple Watch. I never wore a watch before I purchased it, and I wear it every single day (for a year now). Its the first thing I grab on my nightstand when I wake up, even before my iPhone. What was rushed was Apple Maps. But over years, it has developed into something that actually works.

And yet has the highest marketshare of smartwatches in a shorter time.

But again, none of this is related to iOS 9.3 beta 3.
BECAUSE ITS APPLE, they could drop the iPhone 6s without the antenna bands and it'll be a hit..oh wait...thats what they are doing with the 7 -_-

You can certainly believe that, but it doesn't make that the reality. So what does this have to do with iOS 9.3 beta 3 again?

I guess a beta forum let alone apple fan boy website isn't going to grant me a lot of people that agree with my comments. Back to the lag in beta 3. carry on

This geek bench multi core score is about 300 less than the previous beta. This should mean better battery life but not sure yet
Actually mine is up a little:

9.3.2 2538
beta1 4387

9.3.2 2539
beta2 4424

9.3.2 2542
beta3 4427

For me, beta 3 stutters everywhere beta 2 stuttered and it comes and goes like beta 2.

Argh!

I don't look at a stock price to see how a company is doing product wise. Stock is solely based on how much money they make and if estimates and speculations are met. Thats the problem with the stock market. Apple could have record sales but "it wasn't good enough" for spectators and the stock plummets. Has happened multiple times over the last 3-4 years.

Their stock is down 7% today because they sold 51.2 million phones instead of 61 million. The market has capped, and yet they sold 51 million devices. But thats not good enough. Its just stupid.

They're not reporting a loss, they're reporting a decline.
.... first time since 2003 .... the end must be near

#rolleyes
