The word politics stems the words poli which means many and ticks which means blood suckers

No worries.

The PRSI (political and religious and social section of the forum) is indeed a separate section of the forum.

Also worth noting is the fact that you need to have made, or posted, 100 posts before you are allowed to post in that section of the forum.
Plus if you can’t behave in there they take your access to that section away :D

Yes, indeed, or so I gather; actually, it has happened to a few people I know, some of whom I would like to be able to see posting there again - but not usually until after a few warnings have been issued, unless the offence in question is deemed to have been unusually egregious.

In all respect, Macrumors is a place where we talk about Apple and the tech world in general. I don’t think that people should post inflammatory political comments that are too liberal OR too conservative. Instead of focusing on what divides us in America, why don’t we just focus on what brings us together, which is a desire to talk about Apple and tech. Just my thoughts, it hurts me to see all the hatred.

Some time back i proposed getting rid of PRSI, or creating a seperate site. I almost got chased out of town. If you look at many of the political posters many only post in PRSI. They come to a site about Apple products to spread hate and start partisan arguments with others.

I find myself responding to many of the posts after reading some of the ridiculous titles. Its hard to miss them because they show up on the recent posts section. Hard to just pass them by.

looks worse than it actually is, plenty on that section of the forum would have no problems having a beer with those from the opposite side.

Sure, I’d buy them a refreshing Keystone Light.

It gets ridiculous enough once in awhile in there to become obvious it's all just pixels on a page, and worth skipping, like an ad for cool new ways to slam your own fingers in a car door: pretty sure not interested again quite yet. Takes awhile to forget the pain. :D

WHILE the comment is blunt it is also spot on. PRSI is not for everybody and it's rather easy to avoid.

Well it's easy once the door is shut. :p
Not to get all political in a nonpolitical thread.

My latest way to stay out of PRSI is to take e-books out of the library so they must be finished before they expire and self-destruct. It's sort of working. That and losing power from thunderstorms, which also helps. Summer's definitely here.

Lol. We're not all Americans!
You don't know what you're missing
I just need to go to work for that - as long as the one person I truly loathe at work is there. :)
There is always that one person at work for everyone
Our sympathies.
They don't know what they're missing
extreme left in conservative forums (how dare I support equal marriage, pot legalization and a woman's right to chose) and guessing far right here due to my views on the 2nd.
That about sums up my views

Yeah. If it were just a personality clash between her and me it'd be one thing, but she clashes with EVERYONE in the office because she is the way she is. Including the boss.

The kicker is that she thinks she's the normal one and the rest of us in the office are all *******s.

Funny in my last field office it was a she and it was as you described her clashing with EVERYONE which isn't good when this is happening at a field office for a federal law enforcement agency. She never did any work and expected the rest of us to cover for her as well. Luckily she got transferred to a less desirable field office

It’s worse once the door is shut , PRSI is like hotel CA. You can check out but you can never leave
