I created a simple action button shortcut that offers the user a list of actions that can be performed with 1 tap. The passwords option opens Passwords in the Settings app, for those who need frequent access. If you don't own a newer Kia that makes use of remote access, delete said item from the list of options. The Notes option allows you to quickly create a note. More options can be added as needed. I hope this of use to someone.

Have you found a way of getting feedback when you toggle silent mode in a shortcut like this? I’ve found, if you have the action button set to the silence button, you get feedback, but it it’s part of a separate shortcut, you don’t
No, I don’t think there is a way.
When using a shortcut from an action menu like this, your attention is required to actually choose the option, so a lack of feedback doesn’t really bother me to be honest.

If you have an iPhone 15 Pro, I was wondering how you use your Action Button. On mine, I have it as a Shortcut to make it a Play/Pause button since I enjoyed having a dedicated play/pause button for so long on my iPod nano.

EDIT: I started a poll but it was merged with this thread so that's why this is out of context.

Is there a shortcut to assign the action button to a specific action after 11pm; and another during the rest of the day?

Where do all people learn how to use the shortcuts app?

There are loads of youtube videos out there.

Didn't read all your suggestions. But a way to close the current open app (s) before my girlfriend sees what i'm looking at would be wonderful.

Why don’t you get a privacy screen protector? Those work really well.

Would probably expand over time to be based on my focus modes as well, but for now, I set this up;
  1. Get current song
  2. if current song has any value
    1. add current song to playlist x
  3. otherwise
    1. recognise music (Shazam) -- also saves to library
    2. if recognise music doesn't have any value
      1. open shazam
Ouuu get current song is a good one!

Ideally, I would like the action button to toggle silent mode when the phone is locked (in my pocket or face down at a meeting) and then pull up a menu of options when I'm using the phone. Is that possible?
