I would say that it's not running under Fusion. I say this because the menu has the Apple shortcuts in it. If it was running under Fusion there WOULD be a menu bar like that but it usually only has basic stuff. For example I just opened Excel running on an XP unity and there's The apple button, Microsoft Office Excel dropdown, Window, and Help. Any other menus are the actual Windows menus and wouldn't have the apple key shortcuts.

Agreed -- Definitely not Unity Mode

Wrong. That icon just means that VMWare is installed on the computer, not that the app is actually using it. I have the same icon on my menu bar and I never run any programs under unity.

If this were Unity mode then the menus would still appear at the top of the window and not in the OSX menu bar. At least that's how it works on my VMWare Fusion 3.

I like Audition 3. Audition is not protools or logic. It probably more favorably compares to something like Amadeus.

Holy moley! I'd pick up Audition for Mac in half a heartbeat. I loved Cool Edit Pro 2.0 / Audition, but ever since switching to Mac, I've been S.O.L. Soundbooth just sucks.

Never did try Pro Tools. Maybe I'll look into that, if Audition for Mac turns out to be fake.

Uuughh, Why? Audition sucks.

If you're going to edit audio on a Mac, use Logic or even Pro Tools.

Such a shame that Adobe is continuing to develop Mac software.

I was rather hoping that MS would buy Adobe and kill the Mac versions overnight, just like Apple did with emagic... to pay Apple back for what they're doing to Flash.

I say this as someone who spends most of his working day in Illustrator and would be directly hurt by Adobe pulling out of the Mac.

I've been using this product line since Cool Edit 96!

Glad to know my Mac will be able to run Audition when I finally get one.

Audacity

Anyone tried audacity? Works great for me and the price is... well... what price? To export as mp3 it requires a Liblame file but that's easily fetched online. Enjoy!

I'm generally pretty suspicious of stuff like this, but I think anyone who is actually familiar with both Audition and typical Adobe Mac UIs (as I am) and watches the entire video will find it pretty hard to believe that this is anything but legitimate. It doesn't seem like this could be anything but some kind of pre-release of Audition 4 for Mac OS X. Which is great, as far as I'm concerned. Audition is the only Adobe product I really like.

My biggest question is, does anyone actually keep their dock unhidden and huge like that? Especially professionals using professional software that really could benefit from all that extra space? I just find that odd.

First of all, I do, and I'm a professional using professional software. Second of all, it's likely a demo/test system, not a production machine.

Since Apple purchased Logic they have done nothing with it. All of their resources have gone to pods, pads and phones.

I've been a Logic user since Logic 7 (after Apple purchased it) and I've been pretty pleased with the 8 and 9 upgrades overall. They weren't revolutionary, but they've been solid improvements each time (especially with the UI overhaul from 7 to 8).

Funny how Adobe seems to be taking Apple users more seriously these days after virtually abandoning the Mac platform or at least putting it a long way down the priorities list. Must those pesky Mac sales figures getting Adobe's attention.

Hate Audition. Trying to move our sound designers over to Vegas and Sound Forge on PC. On mac, I'll stick to Soundtrack Pro.

Now a decent version of Vegas and Sound Forge on Mac, that would be good news

1) How does this really compare to Logic 9? ...I'm assuming it doesn't have all the native guitar rigs and other sounds?

2) WTF is that "fire" editing that happens at 1:25 ?!?!?

So stupid. This is why many people think Apple fanboys are snobbish and idiotic.

Did you know that 80% of almost everything that's done well in design, photography, etc. all use Adobe products?

Audition is an excellent audio editor. Soundtrack Pro is not.
