My decision to get the Green was mostly swayed by the power of the hype machine, and the obvious fact that it’s a new color. But after seeing the pics, I regret not trusting my gut. In pics, Green looks so dull and unrecognizable. It almost appears as dirty faded black. Zero personality. On White, the three cameras would’ve stood out much more prominently. I’m at a loss and honestly, ready to cry...

Look - get the phone which YOU want. You’re spending so much on it so it might as well make YOU happy. We’ve all taken something because it’s there at the time but the other colour, size, shape whatever would have been better.

Just wait a bit if you want and get the silver or whatever colour you want. Otherwise you’d be happy for a day with a new phone but hate it for the year or two that you keep it.

Also don’t worry about whether other people find it cool or not. It’s YOUR phone not there’s.

The thing I like about the Midnight Green color is the fact that it has different tones based upon the light it’s in. Plus it’s just different than the typical silver, gold or gray device color.

And thank goodness Apple didn’t go the direction that Samsung and others have with the rainbow holographic patterned back. I actually sell metallized papers and films that have this look - it is the same material that lots of brands use for product packaging, and I don’t think it’s a premium look.

It will be interesting to see where Apple goes with device colors into the future.

This is EXACTLY what i did, minus the clear case. I ordered the Apple Pine Green Silicone Case. I always get Space Grey and thought to switch it up, literally like a minute before preorders.

People show off their jewelry, gadgets, cars in order to make them feel important all the time. There’s nothing wrong with it, and certainly doesn’t warrant professional’s advice.

To play devil's advocate in your favor, many of the same people on this forum making fun of those that care about being seen with the newest iPhone probably practice that same mode of consumerism in other aspects of their life, be it a new truck, clothing, etc....

I can’t work out whether you are winding us up or not as I’ve never met anybody who cares so much about what others think. You need to evaluate whether you’re buying things for your own benefit or just to impress others. It’s rather tragic if it’s the latter I must say. This thread has to be satire.
