They’re not going to know. You’d have better luck checking forums. I’ve never called Apple support..true story. Unless you like wasting time.

Well... that's why I'm on here "checking forums," but no one else seems to have a solution for this either. The way I figure it - the more noise made about it directly to Apple, the more likely they are to actually look into it. As far as wasting time.. It's not my primary computer that has the issue and leaving a chat window open and replying isn't that time consuming as I work on my primary device. I'm just trying to make the noise needed to get them to pay attention. Having said that, they are supposed to have someone call me at 2pm today. We'll see how that goes.

Update - they are going to eMail me back. I’ve tried: rebooting, logging out/into app store, and using a new “standard” user account. No luck.

senior tech person called me back - no resolution

asked for "screenshots' ... sigh

honestly - all this effort on emojis .. ignoring the basics...

how many tech companies would get this level of basic testing wrong? very basic stuff. it's not like Apple can't afford good testing.

Same issue here, 2016 MacBook Pro, clean install. Has anyone tried clicking through the purchase to see if you get actually get charged a second time?

it warned me it would charge me again - which I wasn't going to risk

I’ve tried it and bought a cheap app again that I’ve already bought before. It said it was free of charge because I already own a previous version. But it still wasn’t visible on my purchase page.

I'll try it myself and see how it goes

Edit: Just tried it, didn't get charged. It seems to be an annoying inconvenience for now.

I spoke to an Apple advisor and we came to the conclusion that the AppStore app itself is somehow broken. He said they’ll push an update soon.

Time for a new thread: "Your system has run out of application memory". Music app was using 250GB of memory. Had to force-kill it. Was importing my music from backup drive...

and the size of the library to be imported is?
37GB, but even so I wouldn't expect the entire library to be read into memory while importing. Going to try to restore from my 10.14 backup. Seems 10.15 isn't ready for prime time.

I've gotten this memory error a few times now. My machine has 32GB ram.

Same problem. Installed a Catalina VM to see what was working and not, and I can't even install my purchased software. Awesome.

So... Just got off the phone with a senior support advisor, who told me they would call me back tomorrow at 4pm. He said "it looks like we're having an issue with Catalina not recognizing any purchased apps".... ummm.. duh. Ya think? Having said that, I just went through and searched for one of the apps I knew I had purchased that wasn't very expensive. I went ahead and told it to "Buy" even though it said my credit card would be charged at which point it said "this update is free" because you previously purchased another version. So, it looks like I can install my apps, just have to run through that process for each one.

I am also seeing this bug, but we additional information. I had 2 iMacs (21,5", 2017). The first one was updated yesterday using a clean install with a bootable usb-stick. Everything works perfectly, including the App Store. The second one was updated today with the same USB stick and the same method. In this case, I started to see the bug ("No purchase" in App Store). I tried log out/log in, reformat 4x, etc. etc. etc.

Thus, I guess the problem is seeing by people who installed macOS Catalina today.

UPDATE: The problem is so strange that even if you download an app, it will not shown on the list in App Store. If you delete, it will ask you to buy it again.

yup, same here: "Your system has run out of application memory." during import of ~190GB of audio files into Music.app. macOS Catalina should still be in beta IMHO...

Same issue on fresh install.

Have a theory to clean install, not to log into icloud untill after logged into mac app store...

Clean install on 2 mac
Clean install on mid 2014 rmbp : can see them all works fine
Clean install on 2012 Mac mini : no apps ... the funny thing is that I had some bugs while installing the Mac mini, ending up to reinstall again Catalina OS.

2019 MBP. Did an upgrade and everything was a hot mess. Created a usb installer, reformatted, logged into iCloud during setup and all past purchases were available to me.
