LOVE it... been waiting for 3 months since march for this update. One complaint though... that AIM sound is pretty annoying.

AIM Battery Performance

I've been playing with it all night and it's great and works as promised but it has killed my battery over the last few hours.

I installed around 7pm local time with my battery at 85% and by 11pm local time my battery was down to 36% while doing nothing with it other than using AIM by push and checking twitter half a dozen times.

Initially I closed out of the app every time I sent a message but this quickly became tedious and after a couple hours I left the app open and locked the screen. I am sure that contributed significantly to the battery life. Interesting that leaving the app open and locking the screen still sent the push alert out.

Just my observations so far but the implementation is great and the program runs great on the 3G S. I didn't have it crash on me once.

it's weird usually if you sign in on aim at 2 different locations AIM will send you a notification saying your signed in at 2 different places and if you want to sign off the other place to send a message back.

Why doesn't it do it when you sign in on aim on the iphone and your signed in on the computer and vice versa?

Also im guessing when your in the AIM app autolock is disabled till you exit the program?
