Mine arrived a day earlier than I was expected but hey!

The 1st gen AirPods fit perfectly in my ears, I never tried the Pros as I've never had good luck with in-ear earphones ever so it wasn't something I wanted to risk because it cost so much money, so I waited for the 3rd gens since I anticipated them fitting better. So anyway these arrived, the right AirPod fits fine but the left one makes my ear ache ever so slightly after a bit? In the sense I can 'feel' it, like there's a slight pressure so it is a bit uncomfortable and therefore a bit distracting. It's a bit disappointing tbh, but I'm hoping my ear might get used to it or something so I'll give it a bit of a chance.

Elsewhere, the sound quality is fine I reckon, what I expect of AirPods. Definitely happy with that aspect.

Also heads up for those who are waiting for these to arrive + haven't updated their phones, it does prompt you to update to iOS 15.1 to make full use of the features, which I went on to do before pairing.

EDIT: There is a slight but noticeable buzz coming from my right AirPod. I didn’t notice it at work or in the supermarket, but when I’m lying in bed and it’s quiet it’s definitely audible when music isn’t playing as loud. This is actually pretty disappointing.

Mine turned up just over an hour to go.

They fit my ears perfectly and love that they have spatial audio, like the Pros. Very happy and the gen 2s have gone to my mother who's now happily watching some drama on YouTube amazed by them (she's never had AirPods before, so it's nice to see them being enjoyed for the first time again ).

Just had mine rock up now. First ever pair of AirPods and I’m impressed!

Fit fine, sound good and don’t fall out whilst I’m chewing (looking at you, Galaxy Buds…)

Very happy with the purchase!

Just got mine, they definitely sound bassier than the AirPods 2 which is nice. I know it's common for people to think new AirPods sound better just because they'd not as gummed up but I'd like to think I've been diligent enough with cleaning my old AirPods 2 that the difference I'm hearing is genuine. Plus my AirPods 2 are only about 6 months old after I had them replaced under warranty because the microphones went on both sides.

The AirPods 3s fit perfectly in my ears without any wobble, which is good as the AirPods 2 fitted perfectly too (commiserations to those who struggle with the fit). Despite looking much more bulbous in pictures the earpieces don't seem to be that much bigger, I was imagining they'd be pushing themselves out of my ears from looking at the size of them but the buds are pleasingly tiny. I also like how the case is actually pretty much the same size as the AirPods 2 but sideways so they're not taking up any more space in my pockets.

In terms of drawbacks, the stem squeezing sucks about as much as I expected. It's much fiddlier than a quick double tap. I'll get used to it I suppose, but I wish they'd kept the tap gesture (or included both, so that we could map volume up/down to the squeeze).

The other problem of course is the iffy auto-switching software in iOS, which Apple broke ages ago and either can't or won't fix. Literally within 2 minutes of me first putting the AirPods 3 in it switched in the middle of a music track on my iPhone to my iPad that wasn't even being used. ? I really wish Apple would fix this as it's been broken for so long now. When it works, auto-switching is fantastic, but it's so annoying when it doesn't.

My ups says end of day today I seriously doubt it. Left southern ca at 11:30am so possible but unlikely.

Don't count out UPS. I've had items appear the next day when I was absolutely positive they weren't going to show up. They surprise me at times. BUT I've also had the occasional package that sits at either the local office, or the usual stopping point before arriving locally for an extra day or two. Once, years ago when I ran a business, I had a package 'stuck' at the local office. I called and asked if I should stop over and see if I can help them find it. I got a nervous laugh, and a tongue in cheek 'Maybe'. So I DID! And it showed up that next morning. *shrug*

(Try to) never count them out...

My favorite story with UPS was the package that went to Portland Oregon, TWICE, and finally came to me via their Sonic service, 'same day shipping'. I was told that package sat in the cockpit the whole flight to make sure it wasn't diverted back to Portland. :D It had been to Portland TWICE, and I've never been once. It took nearly two weeks to receive get it.

Mine were supposed to come today but apparently there was a delayed flight out of Louisville overnight, according to my tracking. Gonna be close, but my status says to check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date…….

Mine have arrived here in Dubai ....... First impressions ...... a great fit for me and great sound .... beyond that I dont ask for much :) ...... I will still keep my Pro's (and Pro Max) for travelling but I think these will be great to keep with me for daily and casual use. I just hope the pair I've bought my wife fit her nicely as her Pro's are not a natural fit and consequently she rarely uses them.

My Pro's don't fit well either. I'm wondering if I need to change tips. I can't remember if they came with other tips. Apple only sells them by size, rather than a selection of sizes. I guess I get that, less waste, but also more profit. *shrug* I do feel a little guilty buying these new ones. I have so many AirPods and ear buds already... *shrug*

I think I can hear it too. Very faint buzz in left ear and even fainter buzz in right ear. I am too slightly dissapointed. I will test them for a day or two and will decide if I want to keep them. Hopefully store will accept return.

I bought my Pro's early on and they came with 3 tips, my wife has tried them all and just cant get them to be comfortable, so has kind of given up, she now uses an old pair of Bose wired buds which fit her perfectly

I did find that putting them in so the stalk faces forward made them stay in 'better', but it wasn't continuous. They would slowly rotate stem down, and then make a break for it, and I'd be crawling around on my knees looking for the escapee... Plus the wife said 'You look ridiculous!' enough times. *sigh*

I have oily skin, which is not a bad thing to have, but that also makes my ears 'slippery' (I know, it sounds gross, doesn't it) and many buds just refuse to fight that and won't stay in at all. That's why I really loved the second gen of the wired EarPods. They 'sat' in the bottom of the pinea, and as a result didn't interact with the ear canal at all. The first AirPods were a hit because they also fit the same way. The AirPods Pro do bravely try to interact with that 'mess' in the ear canal, and fail many people. One size fits most is a likely label for the boxes? I was disappointed, as when they are in, and stay in, they are amazing. I thought of cleaning my 'ear hole' before installing the APP, but carrying iso alcohol around with cotton balls is a little extreme...

Looking for a fix, realizing there might not be one.

Well, despite preordering from Target right after they went up for sale, my order shows Backordered and my delivery estimate has moved from tomorrow until Nov. 9. Pretty disappointing.

Bummer. So a lot of Target shoppers sniped you. Target has been an interesting place to try to buy Apple items. Hmm...
