Update x2: Just got the tracking info, and it's scheduled to be delivered on Thursday, in 2 days. For transparency and clarity, below are the order of events:
12/26 1:55 PM EST: OP starts thread about Verizon having AirPods in stock
12/26 2:26 PM EST: I place my order (Thanks again zea mays!)
12/26 5:32 PM EST: Verizon status page says shipped, FedEx tracking number with no information
12/27 3:30 AM EST: FedEx tracking information is updated (FedEx 2Day)
12/29 8:00 PM EST: FedEx states AirPods should be delivered by then
Again, I'll update the thread once I have more information (if it changes) or if I receive them earlier. I hope this information is helpful, I for one found this type of detailed helpful when I would browse the other threads to get a feel for ordering/shipping from other vendors (Best Buy, AT&T, Target, etc etc)
I don't think so. They send pre-paid return labels, so I think you have to ship it back to return. Probably easier to just sell on craigslist or here on the marketplace if you don't end up liking them.
I'm impressed. Ordered this morning and already have FedEx tracking with a delivery date of Thursday.
They are and I just placed an order for 3 pairs without any problems.. my first pair ordered yesterday will be here today (Paid extra for the next day shipping)
You can but corporate store managers, at least locally, are a real pain about accepting returns.
I ordered on the 26th with a delivery of Thursday but just got an update that they're out for delivery today!
It seems they stock them every morning. I was able to order this morning with delivery Friday.
Update x 3: I added that they indeed arrived at today, as promised, 2 days later (left the default free 2-day shipping).
First impressions: The Airpods are exactly what you think they are, and they are everything you've already read. They do sound better than the wired earpods, but also don't sound as good as you may want them to be. I also agree that it does have that Apple touch, reminds me of the Apple Pencil.
Hi, I just saw on Verizon's website it showed "Sold Out Online" and then a bit later changed to "Add to Cart" though it didn't show a ship date only that it would be free 2-day. I was able to order them around 4:03 p.m. est. and it shows "Processing" but the expected ship date shows 1/03/17 (today). Did any of you that got them shipped out have similar results? I'm wondering if this is just backordered or am I lucky!
Just placed an order for 2. When you search "AirPods" on the Verizon site, the results page shows out of stock. But when you click on the product page, it allows you to add to cart. No notice about backordered or anything, and I paid the $15 for overnight shipping. Lets see what happens!

Mine state that as well, I'm getting a bit skeptical though. On Verizon's site it still shows available to add to cart... they would be gone by now wouldn't they?
I ordered mine at 1:30 PST. So i am hopeful!
[doublepost=1483491442][/doublepost]Well just to confirm, I ordered mine at vzw.com at 1:30p PST today, and just received my shipping confirmation for delivery tomorrow. Very excited. Honestly I really thought I just ordered a backorder item that wouldn't ship for another month or so.
Wow Verizon was not messing around, placed my order 2 hours ago and already have tracking number and a Thursday delivery scheduled.
