yea I think I would have liked the canvas better as well, but the leather one is nice and I dont want to go through the hassel of returns, new order etc... so going to keep the leather. I am still happy, just would have made a different choice.

Geekria Case received today. It's nice. Much nicer than I thought it would be. Th headphone ear-cup divider has an integrated magnet that, like Apple's Smart Case, puts the headphones into deep sleep mode. Pretty sweet.

The internal hanger, the divider/magnet and the storage pocket are all velcro'd into the case and can be placed to your spec. The case is a very nice fit to the headphones and has an overall nice fit/finish. The exterior has a soft/durable material that feels nice to hold. The case provides strong outer protection.

Only one small nit: Charging the AirPods Max in the case is possible BUT the cable's exit point at the ear cup is tight with the clamshell style case closed - however, the dual zippers work well with a power cable exit.

Until I find something more permanent I have been using an old iPad (1st Generation) sleeve they gave us when I used to work at an Apple Store. It's a little too tall but the inside is soft and it's good enough until I find one of these Amazon cases that looks good.

Arguably much nicer than a lot of the hideous cases on Amazon that all feel the need to put their no-name branding on.
Would love to see some more options for cases - it just needs a few of the higher quality phone case makers to jump in

My plan is to get one of those $22 hard cases (not the waterfield - that's just a cover. It's not a hard case), and slap one of the Apple stickers on it.

Thanks for the feedback, I've ordered the same case ETA end of the month.

Thought about the sticker...but don’t want to advertise what’s in the case when it’s attached to my backpack. 😳

My WaterField chocolate brown leather case arrived yesterday and it is really beautifully made. Lovely leather, such a soft lining that will cosset the headphones.

Enough storage pockets for everything that you would want to carry around and the magnets for the sleep mode are a great addition and well thought out.

It gives you the option of not using the Apple at all if you want to go that route.

1 very minor criticism, the internal pouch is a bit tight for the UK charging brick, it does fit but you have to use some force. 1 minor observation, it is not quite as rigid as I thought it would be. I knew it wasn’t a hard case so I guess I’m not surprised, just thought the sides would be a little more reinforced.

All in all, a gorgeous case, offering lots of padding and protection, no fears of the APM’s getting damaged at all, the leather will patina beautifully and I’m very happy with my purchase.

SF Bags have done a great job with this, too marks to them.

If anyone is on the fence about buying one, feel free to ask any questions you may have, but my recommendation would be to just buy one.

Got my chocolate leather case from Waterfields and I think it is of excellent quality. I was slightly surprised by it’s size when I pulled it out of the FedEx box at first but overall definitely a well made case and should offer a fair amount of protection whenever travel can resume again...

mine arrived last week too, but I’m still
on the fence for one reason: as you can see in these pictures, there’s no inner liner for the zipper track, so the inside of the metal zipper sliders rubs against the side of the headphones.

I put mine in this case twice before I noticed this issue, and it looks like my headphones are undamaged so far, but I worry it’s only a matter of time if I keep using this case.

Just try pulling the zipper away a little every time it travels close to the cans and you should be fine.
I’ve also ordered this case but haven’t received it yet.

Yep i don't have this case but i have been studying photos of it carefully and it was a concern for me that there was no inner liner for the zipper track. Think I will pull the trigger on the Waterfield instead.

I had mine for a week and I did that too, so far not a scratch on the cans.

Has any seen some protective skins to cover the outside. More like a film for the cans instead of actual covers on Amazon.
I bought the covers on Amazon. I really like them, they protect the aluminum ear pieces from clacking against each other every single time you take them from the smart case. It does make it a little tighter fit in the smart case, but it still works.

Yea not into the covers. Wanna try to find a skin that I can apply to protect them.

The waterfield does not have an inner lip/lining either from what I can tell from the pictures.

Just got the Geekria case today. It’s a good hard shell case and should protect the APM well. The magnetic separator between the cans does its job in turning the APM to low power mode. The APM case does NOT fit in the Geekria...at least I can’t seem to get it to fit. If it does at all...it’s a TIGHT fit. Not a dealbreaker, though.

I’m disappointed with the strap connector on the case, however. When I carry cans, I attach them to my backpack via a carabiner...and this won’t work at all. Way too flimsy. I have a Waterfield on order as well. I suppose I’ll have to wait and see.

Well I’ve just taken delivery of the same case today in the UK, it wasn’t expected till end of the month.
So well chuffed its

turned up earlier.

Yes I agree smart case doesn’t fit inside.
However for me not an issue as I will be using the Geekria case when I’m out and bout in my rucksack.

Indoors I will revert back to the Apple Smart case.

So far I’m happy.
Would love the Waterfield case however for me the price to the UK £103 for the leather version is above what I want to pay.
My maximum would of been £70, so over my budget.
