Anybody have any experience with how they work with El Capitan? Know they technically require Sierra for the smart switching, etc - hoping some functionality works with El Capitan. My work computer is on El Capitan and I can't update it - I know I can pair them as a standard bluetooth device as a worst case scenario.

I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing, but I'm not able to pause by one tap... Are we forced to pull them off ?

not with mathematical numbers but my ears say yes and I like my music.

I have had a few small hiccups where there was a split second of music glitch? I am in spotify though so don't know whom to place the blame iPhone, AirPods, spotify, wifi? Anyway, the sound is great. I did just pull it out of my ear after about an hour of forgetting it was there and still get the slight soreness I would get from prolonged earbud use, which is why I prefer of the ear cans but I have a feeling the tech world is moving away from that and gotta move with it I suppose.

As far as pairing, it took about 5 seconds and I did it while I was walking in the parking lot right after buying them. So my hands were full and holding my iPhone and new tech which neither I want to drop. So, it is super simple to pair, I don't think I even had to unlock the phone.

Are these some magical pair of thousand dollar cans turned into bluetooth wireless pods. No. But they are great and in my opinion they are worth the 150 just in convenience factor alone if you need to wear them for work a good part of the day for phone calls.

Agree with you, though I view them as £30 worth of audio and £130 worth of convience . They sound like the EarPods to me, but the BT implementation if first class, with a great case , very good battery life and so light.

Have you tried pairing to an iPod? I can't get good audio when paired with an iPod

One tap pause isn't a feature/option. Maybe you heard MKBHD say this. Unfortunately, he was wrong.

They don't stay in my ear, the sound quality is sub-par at best (coming from Shure SE535s that was expected), and the reception is terrible from my Late 2012 rMBP (constant lag and stuttering) - so no, I am not a happy camper.

Interesting. I just tried it on my 2012 rMBP, it was fine via iTunes music.

There is no way they will be anything like the 535s, these sound the same as EarPods . You are paying for convience

Someone please answer these questions about the Airpods and notifications:
1. With Airpods in ears, notification tone plays through Airpods only, right? Just like other bluetooth pods.
2. With Airpods in ears and music paused, where does the notification tone play?
3. With Airpods removed from ears but not in case, where does the notification tone play?

I'm having problems with the double-tap - it only works every now and again. Not a deal breaker, but a slight concern.

I takes a pretty solid double tap. I actually surprised it requires so much force. Just so it harder it does work. I hope it's a big not a hardware issue.

My charging case doesn't want to charge for some reason. It will charge the airpods but the case has stayed at 60% :(
Have you tried an other cable and an other USB port to charge it? Does the same cable charge other devices you have?

For some weird reason it wont charge the case via PC USB port but from a Wall charger. But i don't want the iPhone charger damaging my battery in the case. Are you able to charge via USB on the PC if you have them?

So far so good. I was definitely in the skeptical camp as I was never a fan of the earbuds that came w/ the iPhone. They never ever stayed in place. And I'm not usually an Apple early adopter type but these have been great so far. I guess those wires really did affect how they stayed in place. I haven't worked out in them yet but so far they have stayed in place with all normal movements. Also, after a couple of hours, they started to be a little uncomfortable, like most earphones I've had. But uh...a small adjustment fixed that. I guess I've been wearing them wrong? hahahaha.

I am impressed with the range on these as well. I've only taken one call but the microphone is quite impressive. I like being able to take one out while on the call and then switching. It was all pretty seamless. They sound quite good as far as I'm concerned. I'm not an audiophile but I think they sound good.

Pretty cool how it shows you the battery level for each Pod + the case so you always know where you're at. I do wish the case stood up though.

I agree w/ others that not being able to change the volume on these is kind of a bummer but I have an AW so it's not really a problem. I also don't have a problem actually touching my phone while these are in should that be necessary.

So yeah - I went from I just want to try them and will probably return them to hey these are cool and I like them lot.

I don't have them yet, but you can safely charge them with any USB charger you have. Can you charge your iPhone via your computer?

Can you charge the case via PC? Because mine is only letting me charge via plug.

Yes. I have a lightning cable plugged into my MBP charging the case right now.

If you have a Windows PC, the USB port you are using might not be powerful enough. Will that USB port charge your iPhone?

Have you tried to charge the AirPods case and your iPhone using the same cable? What about an other cabe? Does your computer see the case when it's connected? (I don't know how to view connected USB devices in Windows)

It charges my iPhone with the same cables. And I don't think the PC picks this up but it charges it for a couple of seconds then stops charging it.

Windows likely doesn't recognize these and there's no driver for them yet. I dunno. I haven't used a Windows PC in ages. If you have another computer or someone around you w/ a Mac, test it. Then at least you'll know if it's the case or the PC. If it's the case, you can exchange them as they are likely defective. If it's the Windows PC - charge them w/ a wall plug.
