You really, really need to shorten these posts.

Look, you obviously are not a fan of the product, and that's fine, so return them. I think 99% of AirPods owners would disagree with you, but that's what opinions are for.

To be honest, I still don't understand what actual the issue is, even after reading a few of those posts more than once.

So I got mine and used the today the first time, great little pieces! Finally no worries anymore regarding batteries.

I have a "almost everday usage" problem which I would like to address to to you guys, which you hopefully encountered as well and give me a tip.

So when I go and make some groceries (or paying anywhere at all) I normally took off my earbuds and just let them hang aroung (just one piece) and when I payed
and leave the store I take them back on. So and as we don't have any strap here, I stood there and didn't really know where to put the little AirPod. In the pocket would not be such a good solution
as many times my keyes are in there or even my phone.

Did you encounter this "problem" as well?

Happy to hear your experiences.
If I'm wearing them whilst shopping at a supermarket, I use the self-checkout, so no need to speak to any attendant.

Elsewhere, (coffee, lunch etc.), I just pause my music before arriving at the register (either via Siri or phone). Great thing about them not being noise-cancelling, is that you can leave them in & still speak to others.

Thanks!

In my super market nearby they don't have a self checkout, but it was also in regards when getting coffee or something else. I thought as well of just keeping them in and have it on pause. I'm just used due to politeness that I get them out.
But yeah, maybe someone else has another "trick" or so :D

I wouldn't fret, kind sir (about being rude). Once more people realise how 'people-friendly' the Airpods are, they'll understand ;)

Also, pausing will be made easier with IOS 11, thanks to the increased Tap customisations....for when you can't get to your phone/don't want to use Siri.

No I just double tap on them and pause whatever is playing. I then pay and double tap to resume playback.

Airpods are great during laborious painting sessions fyi. Hours flew by :)

If I was using black instead of 'duck coat white' I may've been tempted to dip the Airpods in the tin ;)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of AirPods (new iPhone 7+ owner). How waterproof are these? I worry that while I'm washing dishes at the sink, they'll fall out of my ears and end up in the garbage disposal or in a sink full of water. I've already dropped my iPhone 6s in the toilet. At least with Beats X something similar, the cord would stop the fall to the sink (or the toilet).

Sounds like you need to skip them. They have no waterproof rating whatsoever.

As a new owner, I have to admit they aren't as bullet-proof as I was expecting. Saying that, I seem to be having next to no problems using them with my iPhone SE but my MacBook Pro isn't performing as well. It is a 2015 model, so I'm wondering if the bluetooth is just more reliable on the more recent iPhone.

I get brief drop-outs, especially when browsing and using the laptop for anything else, and occasionally playback just stops and I have to disconnect and reconnect to get them working again. Not massively impressed to be honest.

That aside I love pretty much everything about them when they *do* work (I was actually surprised by the audio quality - it is far better than people make out) but they aren't as problem-free as I was expecting on a Mac.

Just got a pair of these (very hard to get them here in Sweden!)

I've heard that the battery drains if they're not in the case, regardless if I have them in my ear or not.

Does it matter whether I 1) just leave them on a table, 2) first go to Control Center and tell the iPhone to use internal speakers, or 3) first go to Settings > Bluetooth and disconnect it?

Just wondering if there is any power saving tip since I'd prefer not to bring the case everywhere.

None of those things will make a difference the whole point of the case is to bring it along.
Im not exactly sure why that is a problem for some people.

If it were me, and I lived in Sweden and they were THAT hard to get there, I would definitely use the case to keep them safe and not just laying around on some table. The case is your friend.

I think the batteries do drain in any of those cases yes. The only case where they don't drain is within the one they came with ;)

I know you didn't want to hear it, but you may need to change your habits & start carrying the case with you, mainly to prevent drainage, damage & theft.

Being in Sweden, with your cooler temperatures, I'm sure you're wearing clothes with many pockets throughout much of the year anyway right? :)

Coin pockets are your friend.

I still think these are one of the best things Apple has launched in some time, but they're not perfect. They work almost flawlessly with my iPhone 7 (which is where they are mainly used) but are much more problematic when connecting to my MacBook, iMac or iPad where the connection tends to break up more often. Not sure why this would be, but guessing these might not be using the same Bluetooth? Also, my case has become very discoloured from keeping it in my laptop bag, which is black. The case looks more grey than white now!

Anyone has a tip on how to flip open the lid? I find it's more difficult than what I imagined. The magnetic is quite strong and the plastic is slippery.

I don't know that this is a tip. But I just grasp it with my hand bracing with my index and middle finger then thumb in the groove and flip.

Surprised case opening needed instructions :)

I like how the Airpods are switched from/to either CarPlay or an Auxiliary connection. Smooth & quick transition of media sources once the cable's plugged in/out.

Picked up AirPods yesterday and while they work great indoors, they tend to lose signal quite a bit when my phone is in my pocket and I'm out for a walk...especially if my hand goes near my pocket.

Anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone had any trouble with the case not charging? My phone is on iOS 11 beta, and Im not sure if it is related to that or not.
