I'm going with a PowerBeats3 (when on sale at $150 again, not worth $200) and a Sony MDR 1000X. The PB3 while I'm active. The Sony's for all other times. I do like the QC35, but being able to quickly turn off NC on the Sony's is just a really nice feature.

Everything you said about the QC35 is true. For me, they are still the most comfortable.

Just as an FYI the QC30's has NC level control on the control stick. Great when yo want to adjust how much noise comes in.

Got my Powerbeats 3. Loving the W1 chip already. I can seamlessly switch between my devices now through control center.

I'm trying to decide between BeatsX and Jaybird X2 so out of your choices I would say BeatsX.

I am not sure I like the look of beats X. I would get new the Jaybird x3 instead. It's right now sold out online and in BB Canada in the first hour Black Friday 2016. Did a lot of reading: 8 hrs battery, sleek design, audiophiles love it and under $200.

Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this soon enough.

After 5 days with the Jaybird X3, I am very glad I gave my wife the Powerbeats 3s and ordered these. The sound quality is a step above and the ability to use the app to adjust the eq levels is great. A relative steal at $129.

What are you using them for? Do you want light weight or sound?

I'm a big fan of the LG Tones series. Im currently using the Platinum model. They do rest on the neck but are stable, can sit there until you need them and have fantastic battery life. I stream music or radio for 6-10 hours a day and very need a charge. As for sound they have great quality with rich but not overwhelming bass for a Bluetooth headset. The run about $200.

I'm looking forward to the Airpods. Most of the time I use one ear to listen so these will last all day if I switch after one dies then vise versa. Plus I won't have something on my neck. I don't mind it as they hide under a collared shirt but not having them would be nice.
From my understanding, when you take one AirPod out, music will pause. Calls, however, can be taken with one in and one out, but music can only be played with both AirPods in your ears. Could be wrong, but that is the way it sounds on Apple.com

Music DOES pause when one earbud is removed but music can be played with only one in your ear as well. You will have the option to turn off the remove to pause feature and do a double tap to play and pause instead. At least that's my understanding from what I had previously read.

To me there is nothing new or interesting about the beats x. Looks like the same ol thing as powerbeats and blue buds x.

Beats x, to me have a nice small ear piece. The other two are chunky and cumbersome, I have small ears!

The only thing about the beats x that worries me is that the controller may be heavy but it does look like they have a counterweight on the other side. But until they release them........

If there's winter season where you live, you'll begin to hate wires of any kind. If you wear a hat or a scarf wires will rub against them and make a sound that you'll hear while listening to music.

I think completely wireless is nice, but I think a lot of people, myself included, are worried about having to deal with sub-par audio quality on the Airpods. The Beats X is probably not a world beater, but is said to be much better in audio quality.

I also like those in-ear style earphones, for better fitting and sound isolation. I don't have much confidence in the Airpods design :(.

Maybe a Beats X 2 in the future, with a completely wireless design, is what I crave.

Those with powerbeats guessing you can use Apple Watch ok with them? And can you access Siri on the controls?

Nice. How is the sound quality? Been looking at various wireless headphones and the W1 chip is what is selling me. Beats used to have a bad rap but they've seem to be getting good reviews lately.

I'm no audiophile but I know what sounds good and bad, and these sound good. I have the Powerbeats 2 also so the only difference is the W1 chip for me.

I am still going to get the AirPods when they come out.

I was going to buy the BeatsX earphones for my nephew for Xmas but since they haven't been released, I guess that's not happening. They are missing out on a lot of $ by not having these ready.

I purchased the Powerbeats 3 and they had the same sound of the PB2's. I LOVE the Beats sound. However, I don't like the fit of the PB's. The cable catches on my neck. The W1 chip is AWESOME. The integration with iCloud rocks. Easy to switch from iPhone to iPad to MacBook and back...no issues! Love that.

I REALLY want to try the Airpods. I want something REALLY easy to use and barely there for working out or daily use. I have the Beats Studio Wireless for when I just want to listen to music and am staying home. The Beats X look great as well...but I'd really like to go wireless. Ultimately...I just hope one gets released before Christmas!!!

The 12 hour battery life is a huge selling point too. And if you charge 5 mins gives you another hour

I thought the PowerBeats sound quality was poor, so much so that I gave the PB3 to my wife. I have been very happy with the Jaybird X3s I bought as a replacement. They get 8 hours of battery life and I can pair them to my phone and laptop at the same time, so I'm ok with no W1 at this time. The app that lets you tweak the sound curve is fantastic.
