Bose soundsport wireless or Powerbeats 3. I can get Beats for 161€ and bose for €179

This it totally a personal preference... But unless it's a Class 1 Bluetooth Product I wouldn't look at any other headphone that doesn't have a W1 at this point as an Apple user.

At least not until BT 5.0 phones and headphones come along.

Bose isnt class 1?

"SoundSport wireless headphones have a range of 30 feet (9 meters) from the source device. This range may be reduced by physical obstructions, such as walls and doors, or by interference from other electronic devices. If that happens, bring your headphones closer to the Bluetooth device. " - Specs from the Bose Website

Class 1 gives you 100 feet. Which is what the Solo 3s have. I've been totally spoiled by that now. I can walk to my break room and leave my phone at my desk at work and still get audio... it's about 70 feet away and beyond 3 walls too.

Just to state the obvious but the Powerbeats 3 sound way better than the included Apple EarPods. I hope the AirPods sound a little better than the EarPods.

There is much more definition to the music including bass and treble on the Powerbeats.

I'll report back when I get the AirPods next week.

Are the PB2 worse than the Apple EarPods? If they are about the same I could live with that. My backfit has a terrible mic. That's the only reason I want to replace it.

I only tested the wireless PB2 for a week a while back. From what I recall it was the same... my Solo2 wired is just as good and I assume the mic is the same. You might want to look up some reviews though to be sure.

I'm not familiar with the site but I recently bought the Solo 3s for $220 from Amazon (not a reseller) while the retail price is $299. So a hefty discount on Beats isn't out of the question these days.

Just got my AirPods and I love them. The sound quality is definitely better than the EarPods. The AirPods sound more natural and have quite a bit of bass.

The Powerbeats 3 sound better as the mids and highs are more pronounced compared to the AirPods.

The AirPods are my at home/office headphones. The Powerbeats are my workout headphones.

I must say the battery case is surprisingly small and the headphones charges so fast. And the AirPods are so light and comfortable, I don't really like silicon in ear headphones. These were worth the wait.

After checking some review on powerbeats 3 wireless, I notice beats by dr.dre product improve a lot. I decide to give it a try.

As some reviewer mentioned, once you get your correct good fit earbuds, then you are on the go.

I am not an audiophile but for me the bass is strong and deep but not over with crystal clear vocal. It sound the best by setup the iPhone 7 Plus equalizer to R&B.

I am absolutely no regret getting this powerbeats 3 wireless which also same as AirPods utilize W1 chip that have extreme long distance Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity and extreme easier pairing with iPhone 7 Plus.

This powerbeats 3 wireless is the best companion wireless headset for iPhone 7 Plus. :)

If you had to pick one, which would you go with? Here in Canada the AirPods are 219.99, PB3's are 249.99, but I can get the PB's for 180$. So basically, slightly cheaper than the Airpods.

The AirPods. Although, I like the PB too but can't beat the convenience factor of the AirPods.

My $.02

After owning both the PB's and the Airpods, I will say that the PB's sound so much better, I didn't like the PB's rubber earbud tips so I upgraded to the Comply Premium Isolation T-400 tips sold on Amazon which make the PB's fit perfect and allow no movement.

I liked the convenience of the Airpods and how compact they were, but didn't like the connection issues when swapping from Ipad to Iphone, I have had no such issues with the PB's. If I had a job where I was traveling more and needed to talk more on my phone I would have probably kept the Airpods, but for me the PB's are perfect for the gym and running and do a decent job when using the phone.

What issues did you have? I haven't had any problems switching devices.

The biggest issue I faced had to do with switching from my iPad to my iPhone 7 plus, after switching I would place calls or pick up calls and the airpods would not pick up the audio or transmit my voice, so I would have to switch my phone to speaker or Iphone again vs. airpods. The only way to fix this would be to reset my phone and start over. The aipods would play music and connect to siri just fine, but wouldn't work with calls.

I have the latest versions of IOS installed on both, it became more of a chore than it was worth. The seamless handoff never materialized for me, the pb's have never had an issue, I'm not sure what caused it, but as much as I liked the airpods I will wait until the next iteration to jump on board.

Ah weird... I don't think I've had this issue. I jump between iPhone 7 (not plus) and my iPad Pro all the time with no issues... It works just like my Solo 3s.

It may have been the set of Airpods I had, not sure, didn't want to drive over an hour to have them look at the problem when I still was able to return my Airpods and had th PB3's in hand which perform without issue (plus I got a great deal on them, they ended up being less than the Airpods).

I didn't hate the Airpods, and will probably get a pair this summer for the golf course, but for now I will wait and see what if any other issues that others face.

The Powerbeats3 and Solo3' are the first beats I've owned. I never cared for the soundstage on previous models. These are way different. The lows are there but not overbearing the mids and highs are very much a part of the sound and very clear.
On a side note aren't the Powerbeats3 suppose to come with 3 months if Apple Music as well? Mine had no code. The Solo3' did.

No clue about the Apple Music. I never even looked into my Solo3 box. I just took the headphone and case out. All my accessories and paperwork are still in the box. But with the Apple Music trial... are they actually stackable? I bet you only get 1 three month trial and then you're cut off. Otherwise there would be a lot of 3 month *trial theft.

Yea I'm not sure if stackable and true on the theft. However I got a 3 month to start when they began AM
And then when I bough the Solo3 I got the code plugged it in and now I have no AM bill until march. So I did get the first and and now the one with the headphones.

EDIT: Spoke with Apple support the Powerbeats3 do indeed come with a code. So I guess just got left outta the box. Anyway they generated me a code and received 3 more months. So they are indeed stackable if you buy multiple qualifying headphones.
