If you’re not getting a good fit with the AirPods Pro, you’re definitely not going to get good ANC with an in-ear bud. The seal is critical to them working properly.
That’s maybe why you are experiencing dissatisfaction where almost everyone else is hugely impressed…
If they don't fit then the ANC won't be effective. The 'definitely not rocket science' modus operandi is the tips form a physical seal, and the passive noise reduction caused by that physical seal is supplemented by the ANC. If the 'physical seal' is not happening then the ANC is compromised.
Like I said, it's not rocket science.
Funny how someone is comparing the AirPods Max to the AirPods Pro. That's like comparing a truck to a Mini Cooper, completely different uses.
Although I'm not sure if custom spatial sound has been taken into account in the test, that is difficult to reproduce even if the tests are done with a doll and the headphones on the ears.
just picked up my AirPods Pro 2 - Will compare them to my Pro 1's.
First thing I noticed is the magnets are stronger in Pro 2's noticeably more force required to take them out of the case. Maybe the magnets on the Pro's 1 got weaker over time, not sure.
Case is same size as Pro 1's.
Interesting. Mine arrive on Monday. I always thought my airpods Pro 1 fit well, but whenever I used to watch Game Grumps they would fall out ever so slowly as I would be smiling and laughing. I guess I should try a smaller ear tip.
Your comparison’s aren’t very helpful seeing as though they’re completely different products….
anyone else having trouble with the swipe volume control? It barely recognizes my touch. Very inconsistent
At first I wasn't interested. Today I will be trying to snag one from the apple store app for local pick up Miami. I did not pre order. I currently been using AP pro's gen 1 since 9/2019. I believe its time for an upgrade. I also have $150 gift card from the MBAM2 I bought from the educational website during that release.
I believe 8am or so. Glad I have 3 stores near me. Regardless I plan to go pick up Sunday if I'm able to reserve one for in store. Busy work day today. Tomorrow going out on the boat all day.
Got mine and cannot get a successful seal test in the right ear. Never had an issue with the original pros.
I had the same problem with the Pro 1 and in Apple Store changed me the airpods, was a fail.
I’ve found the tips with my Gen 1 AAP fitted better the more I wore them. It’s like the silicone needs to be softened up a bit & contort to the shape of your ear canal before they’re snug.
Have you tried licking it before you put it in?
