They should just add a double sided adhesive to the inside of the lid like the incase woolenex case. Problem solved.
I used tape on my Nomad gen 1 case. Same for the temporary case that I am currently using for my APP's.

I now have the 12 south leather case and really like it. It is compact and secure, basically perfect.
Not available in Canada, far as I can tell. Very expensive to get it shipped in when I priced it at Twelve South website.

This is a serious question and not posting jest at those with OCD (I generally have it with my iPhone having to be in pristine condition), but are cases really needed for AirPods cases?

Yes. Try to hold with your fingers a brand new out of the box AirPods Pro W/C Case and the first thing you will notice beyond its miniature size and elegance is just how bloody slippery this thing really is with its shine and rounded corners...BUT...despite the cheap jab you took at people who suffer from OCD and the negative impact it had on their lives, perhaps you wouldn’t joke about it in the future, dotard!

Yes, you need a case it will make your life a lot easier, your wallet will be nice and fat and belching and you’ll also learn to love the case as this is just the beginning. Expect this case for case thing to take off. Here in Canada I paid 39.99 CAD for this case Catalyst and it is simply awesome. Waterproof and no more wireless charging interruptions.

Can you hear me now? Just kidding.

What cheap jab? I think you need to re-read my post...?

I normally don't use case for airpods, now using dbrand matrix skin on airpods pro but nomad looks thick but very nice, i like leather. I use their watch strap and wallet. I purchased black one for airpods pro.

I have a love/hate with the catalyst case. Since I lost one of my airpod pros when the lid opened up and one of the pods fell out (but I later found it) So I love how the lid can't pop open but I hate how hard it is to open and close the lid with this case.

Got the uag silicone case. I don’t like that when it’s open the top of the AirPods case slips inside the top of the uag case. Also it’s HUGE! Other than that, looks nice and protective.
