Well, I was able to give them a try and for me, it's a mixed bag. They are better than the original APP and the AP3, but they still aren't as comfortable as I had hoped. I tired the small tips and failed the fit test. The medium's pass as well as the large. I tried the large as you mentioned and it's feels the same. I will say that it's better, and there's a possibility I could get used to them since it's not pain or soreness I feel, but discomfort. Usually the soreness just grows and grows, but this discomfort started about 20 min in but wasn't really worse after 30 min when I had to remove them to do something else for a bit. Maybe with extended use I could get rid of the discomfort. I am wearing them now (they are my wife's though as a replacement using our CC extended warranty since her left APP volume is about 20% of the right APP now), so I will probably try using them today and tomorrow while she is at work and see how it goes.

I was very hopeful though when I put them in initially that it was going to be a big improvement. Usually I can tell right off if there's too much pressure where the bulb rests, and I don't have that. That's why I think I might be able to develop a level of comfort with these. I am very glad they made the improvement though and hope they can make further improvements on future iterations so they work even better.

Ok, so a bit of an update. I put the medium tips in and wore them again for an almost 2 hour meeting and while they weren't as comfortable as I would like, they were much more tolerable. I've never been able to wear APP or AP3 that long, so this is a marked improvement. Going to try them so more to see if they improve even more. I really like the sound of them as well as the APP and AP3 so I would REALLY like them to work for me.

I haven’t tried them, but don’t forget that there are other foam tips as well that people say help a lot with comfort!

After a few days of use, I have noticed that the right bud wants to try and slip out of my ear now and then, but it’s still comfortable and wiping the tip of the pod seems to help.

I’m pretty happy with APP2! For some unknown reason, they are staying in my annoying right ear better than APP1 do (which is already light years ahead of regular AirPods). I really like the charging on my Apple Watch dock and the sound the case makes so that you know it is charging. So far so good!

I don't think in my case the tips are the problem. It's the size and shape of the bulb resting in my outer ear. They did change it just enough it seems that it's making a difference.

I went to the Apple Store today, tried them on, and hated them right away. The design is VERY different from the original Airpods. Thay are much bigger and the added silicon tip is as stupid as all the other companies that use this type of fitting - and it does not fit comfortably into my ears because it goes much deeper into the canal, and because of the weight, they just don't stay in place. I understand all the great technical and sound improvements Apple put into these Airpods Pro, but the comfort went down the drain. I won't buy this version. I'll continue using the Airpods 1,2 and wait until the designers come to their senses.
Couldn't disagree more. Both my wife and I prefer the way these fit. She has not been able to comfortably wear any version of AirPods until the gen 2s came out with the XS tip. Seems that across the board people are preferring these since they added the smaller tip too. Im not a big fan of the silicon tips and choose to use the Comply foam tips. You should give them a shot!

Unfortunately it seems you might be in the small minority that the shape doesn't work for your ear. Just goes to show how unique we all are as humans.

That’s a post about the original APP. This is a super old thread that was bumped when the OP got the APP2.
