AirPods Pro Order Status

To those that say AppleCare is a waste, my original AirPods stopped working shortly after I had them for a year. Went to the Apple Store just to see if they could helo, and no. I had to buy new ones. I think for $29 US it is a safe thing. 2 years of coverage. If used daily or close to it, even with Apple quality, I don’t think these will last 2 years.

4. Current Status - Shipped via UPS, ETA 10/30 (original confirmation said 10/31)

The UPS tracking number is not live yet, so I don't know where the package is coming from.

Once I confirm that the new design fits me, I will probably add AppleCare for easy battery replacement just prior to 24 months. By 26 months or so, my original AirPods wouldn't last through an hour-long run, and I had to buy a new pair.

this is exactly why I bought AppleCare. Although my first gen launch day AirPods give me 2 hours of audio when I’m out discing, it’s not the 5 hours I use to get easily and with how much more I’m going to use these because of ANC and Transparency, I definitely see myself getting them replaced before AppleCare is up.

Got shipping notification 1 1/2 hours ago saying they will be here tomorrow. Hoping UPS tracking goes live before I go to bed tonight so I can hold them at CC.
 
Glad all you guys are getting your pods pretty much on release day. So mad I didn’t order them early in the day, had a lot going on at work and didn’t get to check if they were up for sale until I was home. 😖😭

Maybe mine will move from the order in progress status and move up on my delivery date. One could only hope lol.

Ordered at 2:05pm cst USA

Apple store kicked over to shipped 20 mins ago. Still 10/31/19 for delivery tracking number not registering with UPS. Checked manually did not get notified by Apple Store app nor email.

Hoping official notifications kicks over for a tomorrow delivery.

update: got confirmation email did change to 10/30/19 for delivery

Interesting... just playing around with the website it does indeed look like having it delivered to a store (non-Apple) adds 1 extra day to delivery in my area too. Obviously going via the UPS access points rather than via DPD to home/business addresses

actually - I ended up editing this! I went again and noted that the delivery date on the UPS app says tomorrow. So maybe it was just a temporary thing on the system. Sometimes delivering to a business adds a day but when I ordered I ensured it would deliver on the day. Let’s hope at least!

Not sure if it is the right topic but I believe you’ll be ones of the first to try the product in real condition. Here is my question: is it mandatory to upgrade to Catalina to enjoy the AirPods Pro or can you use them with Mojave?

Strange, ordered mine in Chicago before 11am on 10/28, still preparing to ship with a 10/31 delivery.
