Just because you've had a bad experience doesn't mean they're "horrendous".

I've had issues with every major courier in the UK, does that mean they're all "horrendous"?

Exactly.
[doublepost=1482080220][/doublepost]Just got a text from UK Mail, tracking now working, all good for tomorrow!

Well firstly I've had numerous issues with UKMail yes, but the problem is more than just anecdotal experiences.

They've been in the press several times in the last few years due to major blunders. They are due to deliver my Airpods tomorrow, hopefully no issues.

If your AirPods are coming via UK Mail and you want to be nerdy and sad like me, using your consignment number at https://www.business-post.com/scripts/wsisa.dll/ws_quickpod.html will give you highly detailed information on the whereabouts of your parcel. There are usually around 20 tracking events between despatch and delivery so it is very detailed.

It is especially useful if, like me, you have selected to collect from the depot because it will show you the instant the parcel has been scanned onto the van - so you know before setting off for the depot whether your parcel will definitely be there or not.

Thanks but not seeing much at the minute!

Mine are with DPD for delivery tomorrow, but my wife has decided that as it's so close to Christmas she's going to make me wait for them as an extra Christmas Present, so I won't get my hands on them until then (unless I get to the delivery first :D)

You clearly haven't mastered the trick of opening the box, taking the goodies out, wrapping it and putting an empty box under the tree! ;)

Sent via my UltraFine monitor that is supposedly wrapped under the Christmas tree! :D

Cheeky!

Likewise my AirPods are an Xmas present...we shall see!

Mine just got to Ryton 10 mins ago!
Same! The collect from depot thing seems to be totally bugged so I guess it will get delivered after all. Ah well. It's luck of the draw with delivery times from UK Mail round here - I've had 8am and 4pm!

All these people whose OHs are counting these as extra presents, presumably that means they are paying for them for you?!

Also, I've just seen where Ryton is - a long way away! I'm sure they'll make it to London overnight though! *fingers crossed*

Haha, despite making a positive comment about UK Mail earlier they appear to have already screwed me over: I selected to collect the parcel from the depot and it responded by delaying the delivery date by a day.

I'm not sure if that simply means it will be held at the depot tomorrow and if it isn't collected it will be delivered Tuesday. Either way I will be at the depot tomorrow morning, hopefully they will just let me collect it.

I'm not too bothered though as I have another pair ordered by a friend (he thought I had missed the news that they were for sale to ordered one in case - how nice!) so even if UK Mail mess me around tomorrow I've got a backup! Hence my recklessness at fiddling with the delivery!

I just can't wait for these AirPods! :D

UKMail delivered two of my Apple deliveries a day late due to internal errors . They really have a poor process.

Mine have been dispatched and are due for delivery and to be on the safe side I've decided to select a local pick up point as there is no guarantee someone will be home all day tomorrow to accept delivery. As it happens mine were dispatched on Friday and I had a tracking number for DPD then but it didn't work until today.

someone remind me, UKMail give you a delivery window on the day right?

Need to pop out at some point during tomorrow and Sod's law that's when the delivery will arrive!

Just redirected my delivery to a DPD drop-off point; which means I can go collect them as soon as I am finished at work and don't have to wait until the driver is back at the depot so a much better idea for me.
[doublepost=1482105170][/doublepost]I am really looking forward to getting these because I feel they are a complete solution to the issues of charging bluetooth ear phones and ease of use.

I know often when I'm driving I have to stop and fiddle around with my headphones if I get a call (and it isn't on bluetooth for some reason). Knowing that I could easily pop one in one ear and take the call is a huge benefit. That just makes it so much easier for me. The same applies if I want to listen to something on my Mac etc; I know there are other bluetooth alternatives but I feel (rightly or wrongly) that the AirPods are the first solution that works and is exactly what I need.

I'm sure we will see many more brands who make similar products become more prominent as a result of these being out finally and it may well be that in a few months the AirPods are not the best of their kind anymore but for now it's what I need.

I'm working tomorrow but hoping to be able to work it out that I can be at home to receive delivery of AirPods! Am I right in thinking that DPD will give me a 1 hour delivery window?

Mine will be out for delivery tomorrow! Ive got a driving lesson in the afternoon so hoping they come before then.

It's about time all the couriers did 1 hour windows now this 8-6 time window is awful "cannot do nothing"

My parcel has finally arrived in Oxford (where I live). It's 1 am and I am still awake. Wish they come now and deliver haha!

Mine arrived at the depot at 2am. Waiting for that 'out for delivery' status so I can finally see what time they'll be arriving!
[doublepost=1482131926][/doublepost]'Out for delivery' :D.

No delivery window yet though.
