Airpods vs Beats x - still undecided

Is this your assumption or do you have any solid evidence to back it up. Not saying you're lying but I've not seen anything official to indicate this is the reason why the BeatsX have been delayed. Do you have a link to a source that offers official confirmation.
The Apple Store has changed their message for BeatsX since yesterday. This makes me think we might see them tomorrow.
That option for Pickup wasn't there yesterday.
Someone posted a shot of B&H Photo listing expected availability by Dec 16. Who knows?
You know I got the beats solo 3 wireless instead for now I couldn't wait any longer. They have the same w1 chip that apple has put on the two you mentioned above and sound good, great battery life and the connection is the best of the best. I also was waiting for the airpods to be released but it was taking too long.
Anyone at all know the rough release for these items?!

Target doesn't have them in stock, but on the Target iPhone App then the White version has an "Add to Cart" for a 4-7 day In-Store pickup. Of course it says "Not enough inventory" if you try it but it does seem like retailers are getting ready.
Anyway, I've been using an LG Tone while waiting for the Air Pods and I think I may prefer a tethered design that is less prone to dropping on the floor. So now the Beats X are starting to look more appealing. Physical Buttons, Better audio and a wire to keep me from losing them in a toilet.
I wouldn't count on it. We'd likely have seen leaks of pictures of stock of Beats X or AirPods by now. I'm beginning to wonder if these things ever are going to come out... I'm a bit miffed as this seems like one big marketing gimmick to get people to buy iPhones, and now have no headphones.
Getting the specified battery life out of them? That wouldn't shock me in the least because they're both substantially smaller than the batteries on the Beats Solo and PowerBeats.

Fry's Electronics (page stating Dec 15th ship date - which has changed from the 5th, to the 8th, now to the 15th, I haven't spoke to the staff yet)

O ok in that case I will get the Power Beats 3 since it has the W1 Chip and they are for sale now.
I'm a heavy EarPods user however I just hate the fact that they don't stay in your ears or block any of the outside noise.
They're just fine using around the house. The sad thing is AirPods don't fix the issue or bring anything worthy to the table other than the convenience factor.
I was initially excited about them but not so much anymore since you still rely on your phone to change tracks etc and boy if you lose one!

I'm afraid I'll lose the airpods and I have weird shaped ears. BeatsX for me.
The lightning connection has been around for a long time. Charging may be a possibility.
It may be the quantity production of the W1 chip that's causing the delay.
Perfecting the performance at the start is highly important for this new Airpods product.

I'm looking at the cord which appears a bit too long for my liking may just be that it has to wrap around the neck and allow some slack.

Like many of you, I am on the fence. The one thing I think we all forget is (that you brought up thank you!), the BeatsX is likely to sound much much better than the AirPods.
Airpods is one of those niceties you want, it's cool, but I think it is one of those purchases that, once I get, I will try force myself to love it, try ignore all the issues etc and self-blame that "I am not doing it right" etc
With the Beats X, it won't have the wow factor but most likely, it will work as expected. A nice touch is, when I don't want to use it, it connects magnetically around the neck, while with the Airpods, I have to put it in the carry case unless I wish to risk losing it (or damaging it by placing in a pocket or otherwise).
Perhaps everyone should just get the Airpods and after they realise they don't really like it, trade it in for a Beats X.
Even now, even though I know the Beats X is probably the better buy for me, the "coolness" of those Airpods just lures me in..

Yeah.. I want AirPods too because they look cool and are completely wireless but noise isolation and overall sound quality/immersion of in ear headphones is much better than EarPods/AirPods. I wonder if BeatsX sound better than Sennheiser MM200 or Koss KEB40. If not, then I'll get AirPods. There should be a website with some kind of headphones' comparison.
