For everyone having issues with something in their new Mountain Lion install - Post them all in here and let's see how many we can find and fix.

To start you all off here's mine:
My Dashboard does not work properly - I can see the previously installed widgets [well most of them] but I can't add any new ones, as when I click the + button "the grid of icons" that is now supposed to be there is just a blank space with a find field at the top!

Tried restarting Dashboard from the Terminal and restarting the Mac - still busted. :(

Don't know if this is down to Mountain Lion, but it was OK this morning.

When I click on "News" in the toolbar, then one of my news feeds, I get the following message:

"No RSS Reader is Installed."
Safari cannot open feed://news.com.com.....because Safari can't display RSS feeds. You can search the Mac App Store for an RSS app.

Any ideas?

Safari 6 dropped RSS support.

iMessages won't let me log in using my iCloud account.

I received an error saying that I could not login a couple of times. It then accepted it after the 3rd or 4th attempt. I'm sure the servers are getting blasted as everyone tries to setup iMessage for the first time.

I can't sign in to iCloud or add any of my email accounts and they say they can't contact the server and to try again later. Never been able to get them working.

Missing:
- Power-Nap Feature

Not working:
- Sync with Notes (Notes on my iPhone that are created after the upgrade are not being pushed to my MBAir and Notes made on ML MBAir after the upgrade are not being pushed to my iPhone)
- Game Center - Cannot Log in....it just goes to a blank log in after the circle appears and disappears.

Random Bug:
- A iCloud Process called UBD is being a resource hog each and everytime I launch "Notes" or "Game Center" applications, It contiues to make com.apple.ubiquity.peer-uuid key and certificate's in the KeyChain Access.....went as high as 23,000....Finally was able to delete them after not opening either application for over an hour.

Yes - "Exactly like that!"

I can find the 2 Widgets folders in the Library and in the User/Library. The widgets are all still there and if I double click them they install again onto the dashboard but they don't appear in the "grid"

I've deleted all the dashboard plist files now and its still not working...

iStat nano widget doesn't work in Mountain Lion. Just the processes section. Everything else does

I'm not getting any of the same bugs that others are yet.

ubd launches anytime you open any app that has anything to do with iCloud.

Same here... Been trying for about 30 minutes and haven't found a solution yet.

on a similar note. All of my devices, MBA, iMac, phone are working with iMessage except for my iPad3, it will not sign in for anything. Going to try complete reinstall of iOSb3 tonight to see if this fixes it.- previously over-air updated from iOSb2

I'm getting a bug by going

After logging in:
-> right click -> Change Desktop Background -> window opens

Quitting out of that location and later returning to it
-> right click -> Change Desktop Background -> System Preferences opens (indicated by dock), however the window doesn't appear. It isn't game of Where's Waldo where Preferences is buried. It's just not there. Clicking on the icon in the dock brings up the window.

Terminal shows the following error when that happens:
Code:
7/25/12 9:45:00.036 PM WindowServer[84]: CGXDeferSurfaces : Invalid source window 2035
7/25/12 9:45:02.780 PM System Preferences[1467]: *** WARNING: -[NSImage compositeToPoint:operation:] is deprecated in MacOSX 10.8 and later. Please use -[NSImage drawAtPoint:fromRect:operation:fraction:] instead.

Screen Saver

On 10.7, I had my screensaver set to choose photos at random from my large (220 GB) collection. The photos were arranged in the following way:

[Photos]

-->[2001 Photos]

---->[January 1 - Event 1]
---->[January 4 - Event 2]

-->[2002 Photos]

---->[January 2 - Event 1]

And so on.

10.7 and before handled this just fine, but 10.8 will not - I have to choose a folder containing only photos. That is, unless I choose one of my "event" folders, the screen saver won't recognize the folder - making for a monotonous screen saver, consisting of photos drawn from only one event. Is there any way to force the computer to recognize groups of folders, rather than just one?

Time Machine

I had Time Machine backing up to Windows Home Server 2011 (HP MediaSmart), in Lion. The Mountain Lion install breaks that. Anyone have any ideas, I know lion forced the connection to be AFP. Didn't know of any major changes from Lion to Mountain Lion. Help!
