Arrange Categories Showing Up as Folders

In Finder, Arrange by "Date Added" gives you relative time categories as headers.

These aren't real folders or files, but Finder is displaying these as folders, e.g., "Yesterday" or "Previous 30 Days".

That's annoying. Almost deleted one and it said "Are you sure you want to delete...?" These shouldn't be files, Finder!

Safari All Kinds of Glitchy

After extended Safari use, dropdown menus open white, white squares take up parts of pages.

Most recent is after quitting and reopening, the open windows/tabs come back completely blank, with blank address bars, but titles are still there.

Find my Mac during Power Nap doesn't work. (Shame - as that will be a fantastically useful feature!)

Missing:
- Power-Nap Feature

I found this option to be rather confusing. The "Time Remaining" would change too quickly and too much based on seemingly small changes, such as closing a website running a Flash video or dimming the screen. I suspect that many users were confused, so Apple decided to go with a more reliable indicator: percentage remaining (just like in iOS).

----------

This isn't a problem, just something that needed a firmware update (which came yesterday or today, depending on your machine).

Even with firmware update the powernap is far from perfect on a mid-2011 MacBook Air. An hour with a Genius and still not able to enable Find my Mac in powernap. Both in clam and lid open whilst in sleep. When he got to the end of his capabilities, he said it must be a bug which will surely be fixed with an update soon.

There is no display icon in the menu bar anymore. This is a bug that Apple needs to fix ASAP!

Also, the animation switching from desktop to desktop is much longer in duration as compared to Lion. Super annoying...

Logging out has a nice feature that it remembers the windows that are open when you log back in. Unfortunately this is broken if you use more than one desktop. All the windows open in the same desktop and do not remember their places. every time you log back in the widows need to be rearranged.

I'm getting a bug by going

After logging in:
-> right click -> Change Desktop Background -> window opens

Quitting out of that location and later returning to it
-> right click -> Change Desktop Background -> System Preferences opens (indicated by dock), however the window doesn't appear. It isn't game of Where's Waldo where Preferences is buried. It's just not there. Clicking on the icon in the dock brings up the window.

Terminal shows the following error when that happens:
Code:
7/25/12 9:45:00.036 PM WindowServer[84]: CGXDeferSurfaces : Invalid source window 2035
7/25/12 9:45:02.780 PM System Preferences[1467]: *** WARNING: -[NSImage compositeToPoint:operation:] is deprecated in MacOSX 10.8 and later. Please use -[NSImage drawAtPoint:fromRect:operation:fraction:] instead.

I'm having the same issues, as are others on apple support forums - have your reported the issue to Apple? Thanks!

Notes

Mountain Lion has a NEW notes app.

To me, this seemed like a much better idea than linking my notes to the Mail app like it was in the past. However, this new app does not sync notes to my iPhone unless I use iCloud!! Also when in iCloud, the notes show up in the Mail app there WTF?

I don't want to sync my notes to iCloud, I want to sync them locally like I used to be able to do. This new way is a backward step.

Come on Apple, you can give me the option to use your cloud service if you like, but also let me use a local sync instead if I want too, don't force me to use your not so secure online storage.

Found two things strange in ML:

- when i double tap in desktop to change background it opens system preference right away. Now after that, if I try it gain I have to tap it twice for it opens.

- I have a wallpaper folder within pictures that i have to add to the desktop folder pane in system preference to change wallpapers. Now, in prior versions the folder will stay there one added. In ML I have to added every time I want to change a the background.

Any one else experiencing this so I can be calm that it's not just me?

This happens to me. The indicator light appears under Settings but the window doesn't load until I click the icon on the dock. Or sometimes it does load after a long delay. Definitely a bug me thinks.

Preferences sometimes hangs when I try and open it, other times it loads up instantly. Very random.

When I click on the desktop to change the background, the preferences panel stays hidden, but open, causing me to either click the preferences icon in the dock to display the background options or to click the option to change the background a second time. Very obnoxious.

Edit: I'm glad to see it's not just me having this bizarre and stupid behavior. I hope this minor bug is addressed.

a better place
1. Delete the "SystemConfiguration" folder located at "/Library/Preferences." Follow the prompt, and put your password in.

2. Empty Trash.

3. Reboot.

If that doesn't work, boot into your installer-- and re-install the OS over itself.

Done both of these solutions, and no luck for me. Wifi drop out is persistent on my mac pro. Re-installing didn't solve anything for me :(

When scrolling down a page, it randomly scrolls up, just a bit, really quick. I also find I have to click links twice to get them to open.
