That really depends on what you prefer and need. The UI can very a bit and also some have features that others don't have. See also the comparison sheet(look at the images especially) I recently updated in this other forum topic from a while ago.

Overall Airmail, Spark and Email by Easylido are great options feature wise.

There are many more e-mail apps out there though as you can also see in the comparison sheet.

Ok I just tried Email by Easilydo. Here are a few observations:

1. Suffers from the same issue as Airmail it seems: it doesn't show a pin icon for all the emails with attachments. Spark does, though. I don't know what seems to be the problem.

2. "Undo Archive" button seems to work after archiving an email -- but today it seems to work in Airmail as well (it didn't work last time I tried).

3. Text editing options when composing an email are nonexistent. Should add more.

4. Adding pic attachments to an email seems to be possible only 1 by 1??!? Plus no info whatsoever about the size of the pics you are about to send. Not good...

5. Attachments shown on top of the mail when you open it is a good thing.

6. Smooth interface.

7. Still needs work, so it won't become my primary mail client for now (if at all).

Currently I have narrowed down to these 2 programs.

1) Newton Mail
2) Spark
3) Airmail

Which is the best? I just installed Newton Mail yesterday and am in the 14 days trial period now. So far I really like it but the yearly subscription of US $50 is too much.
How many guys are using Newton Mail with the Yearly subscription?

Another slightly annoying thing I find with Airmail (and Email for that matter) is with hyperlinks: when you open an email with a link inside (e.g. an email from Macrumors) it takes a second or two before the link inside becomes a hyperlink you can tap on.

In Spark there is no such problem.

I actually found out if you delete your acct with Newton then sign up again, you'll have another 14 days to use. I've been doing this since they started a subscription. You might think it's annoying but it'll only takes me 5 min to setup one email address. Lol

Out of curiosity, how can you trust all of these 3rd party mail apps with your passwords and sensitive mails ?

@sk1wbw: I see. But still, $50/year is too much I think.
[doublepost=1479599645][/doublepost]There seems to be a bug in Airmail:

try selecting an email (or several of them) and then moving them to a folder. After it moves the mail(s) to your desired folder you then can't tap on the 'Done' button. So you have to quit the app and reopen it. Anyone else getting this? @pacorob?

I'm sorry I haven't used Airmail in quite a while to be honest. When I have time I will check it out again.

I really like Email by Easylido although I miss some great Airmail and Spark features. But I like the UI (similar to Spark) and it's super fast. If Spark would get faster in getting e-mails and opening your inbox. It's so annoying when you see e.g. a 2 badge but it takes too long before the e-mails actually show up.

yes. Only using the "move to" function, so far. Sometimes you get a box at the bottom of the page that will take you to the Archive folder and you can get back from there. Seems easier to quit and reopen though.

Although Spark has been my go-to app on iOS for a while now (changed from Airmail), EasilyDo Email looks promising. One showstopper though — there doesn't seem to be a way to add an alias email address. Until it has this, it's a no-go for me.

I tried quite a few: Airmail, Spark, EasilyDo E-mail...I've been using Airmail for my exchange e-mail, and I keep getting annoy by all the extra crap it brings along with it. I am probably going delete it. It's just too much customization for my taste.

i took advantage of the black Friday 50% off deal.

One thing to consider with Airmail is that is doesn't handle setting invitations well. When invited to a meeting I get two attachments—a VCS file and an ICS file—neither let's me actually accept the meeting and add it to a calendar. Compare this to Spark which shows a great accept/maybe/decline interface for an invitations. I'm not thrilled with Spark's privacy policies, but Airmail just won't work as a single solutions for me due to the invitation issue.

Yeah Airmail has loads to offer but some things it doesn't do right I think like also with the thing that you can't press a phone number to call that is so critical. I also can't stand it that it still can't show attachments above messages (nor can Spark by the way but only Email by Easylido, Outlook do that but that lack other features) or attach multiple files in one go.

Please do verify what Spark does differently as far as privacy policies from Airmail?
Are you referring to this?

If you can get your head around it, Timyo is also good. It's very busy though, so might not be for everybody.
