I don't pay for cloud storage (outside of iCloud). This is what I've got for free:

-Box = 50GB
-Copy = 20GB
-Drive = 15GB
-Skydrive = 7GB
-DropBox = 6GB

Right now, I only use DropBox, but since my 6 GB is almost used up I'm thinking about switching to something different. Or perhaps splitting up what I save on each service. For instance, Copy could be used for photos because I have more storage, whereas DropBox can be used for documents.

Get your referral link out and you can get so much more free space on Copy ;)

My Dropbox hasn't really ever been done that I've noticed. I do have a Pro account, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Anyways, you said you're using it to upload media and to share files with other computers.

Are the media files the things you want to share or are you using Dropbox as a box for them?

I use Amazon Glacier storage for archiving media. Sure it costs money to retrieve, but my odds are retrieval are low; for storage it is very cheap.

I recommend SkyDrive. Its been faster than Dropbox for me and you get much more free space.

I still don't know why Dropbox still offers a paltry 2gb of storage while others companies are practically throwing data at us.

Currently as a base line they offer:

Google Drive-15gb
Box-10gb
Onedrive-7gb
iCloud-5gb

I have 75gb on my primary google account, and 30gb each on my other two.

I have the grandfathered 25gb Skydrive and got an addition 3gb the other day just for signing into Onedrive.

I have:

6gb with Dropbox

65gb with Google Drive (Multiple Moto Xs helped)

I use Google for photo backup because I like having it integrated with Google+ and Dropbox for all else. Dropbox handles TrueCrypt files better (delta uploading) which I use for work.

I use google drive but it shows it taking up 2.5 gb On my phone. Why so much when my photos only use 2.3 gb on my phone? Looking for an option that doesn't take up so much space.
