hey @koyoot http://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1330568&_mc=sm_eet_editor_rickmerritt
This guy managed to develop on 16nm for under a million dollars
TL;DR this is the guy behind the revolutionary Epiphany family of HPC cpu, those numbers belong to it latest iteration Epiphany V a 1024 core 64bit RISC-V an incredible1.6 2 TERAflop on miserable 16W 16-32W.
Put in perspective, 10 Epiphany-V will deliver16 20 Tflop on the half power required by nVidia's pascal P100 (to deliver just 4.7 TFlop), with much improved coding flexibility (similar or better than Xeon-Phi) and a 100% OpenSource platform NDA free for ever.
I Assume the performance figures are forFP32
Edit: performance figures are FP64 and projected 2 TFlop on 32-16W.
OK Apple I grant you permission to move the Mac to the RISC-V architecture.
