AMD has cut prices of legacy processors.

Well if bragging about how much faster than Core i5 that Ryen 5 is .... the legacy stuff in solidly in the relatively "dog slow" category. The value was barely there when one product line up beat that on almost every measure, let alone two.

The FX-8350 has been AMD's top seller at Amazon for quite some time.

Many people game nicely with it at a good price.

It seems that there are some A320 motherboards that support Bristol Ridge but not Ryzen.

And there are motherboards that support Ryzen but not Bristol Ridge.

Ryzen is quite pricey. I am thinking of keeping the Phenom X6 and building a B350 / X4 950 system with the GT 720 I have lying around.

This platform is BS. Not even one 3.0 x1 available if an x4 M.2 is used ??

It looks like if one is going to buy anything it should be X39x.

I have no idea where you got those two informations, you posted in last 2 posts.

X4 950 will not fit in AM4 platform, that is first thing. You can use PCIe 3.0 lanes when M.2 PCIe x4 is used. Some MoBos cannot do this, most can.

X4 950 is Bristol Ridge, is it not AM4 ?

x16 GPU + x4 chipset + x4 M.2 = 24

Which motherboards can run the GPU at x8 with Ryzen to free up lanes?
