Nice! best hardware gets the best user experience. Plus, it is 50 dollar less then the samsung s4 stock and you get double the storage:)

If only it didn't have the 4 megapixel camera and a 13 megapixel I'd be all over it. Oh and the microSD card slot too :p

Well damn, just got the HTC One to play with and while I love it, I still prefer my iPhone 5 and iOS, but my brother might keep it. He may want to return it now after he sees this.

The Google edition will have even worse camera performance (and maybe worse battery life?).

How did you come to that conclusion? ...Especially the battery life one, considering the GE version will run 4.2.2, which includes battery improvements.

This is the best skinned android phone I think we have seen hardware and software. Now it has stock android. Really this might be the best android to date, and could be the best android for the rest of the year. I know people will complain about the camera, but I could care less. Best screen and best build quality now with stock android. What could be better?

Having a battery that actually lasts a day and has removable storage plus battery :)

Most people I know said it lasted a full day with intensive use. Most reviews also said the S4 lasts about the same. Removable storage eh, but the battery being removable is nice.

I hope this becomes a trend.

Having flagship pure Google iterations would alleviate a lot of concerns I have about android devices being properly supported with software updates.

And the HTC One is so slick. Like super slick to the extent that even Apple should take notice and know they have no special monopoly on high quality materials in smart phones and industrial designs.

So, this excited me. Then I started reading into the camera being really subpar. I don't generally pick a device based on camera, but if it's really as terrible as the pics I am seeing, that could be a deal breaker. While I do use multiple devices, I generally only have one on me when I am out and about, thus it is also the only camera on me. Will have to take a look at what, if anything, they do to it.

You can check pictures taken with the One by users here on the HTC thread, honestly the quality is not terrible, its not s4 or iphone 5 quality but for social media or if you dont print photos the camera is fine.

Look here are mine from the HTC thread. Take a look and decide for yourself :)

What I'd like to see now is a Sony Xperia Z running stock android. Hope Sony gets in with the program.

Choices, choices, choices.

With all this , choosing a new phone will be a nightmare. Not that I'm complaining :D.

I am not sure what you are talking about. I don't have an HTC One, but from what I here people have no issues at all making it through a day on the One. The stock one will be even better on battery because stock is much less taxing than sense.

The storage thing I also don't get. You get 32GB of storage which is a lot, but remember that SD card can only hold certain things. If you like to install a lot of apps. That is a no go on the SD card. I think pictures and music may be the only things that can be put on an SD. Is you live in the US you have google play music app which streams your whole library without having to download it. I know the skinned version of the One comes in 64GB too, but I have not seen which one or if they sell both on the play store. iPhone offers storage options like this. Seems to be working out just fine.

"Of course, the big question with running stock on the One is how HTC's unique hardware features will work without its software, and it sounds like there's good news: Barra told me Beats Audio will still work — the hardware optimization is active all the time, but it won't put an icon in the menu bar. HTC's UltraPixel camera module is still present, but it's being made to work with the stock Android camera app — Barra said it'll just "do what it does," adding that more details would be forthcoming as Google and HTC work on the software." I bet samsung is a little annoyed. I honestly do not see why anyone would pick the S4 over the ONE at $50 cheaper and double the storage. I would think battery would not be an issue not being removable. Running stock android I would assume it would get through a day for all user types.

I could, I'm actually thinking about picking up the GE S4 because I love the bezel free display with larger screen and expandable storage is always an option. I always root my devices anyway so I'll never have a problem with partitioning the sd card to store apps if need be.

Most heavy games with more than a gig extra content download to your sd card anyway and most apps really aren't that large and don't take up as much space as their ios counterparts.

I have about 75 apps on my One X and they only take up 708mb with the largest one being 44mb (beach buggy blitz)
