Mobile OSs Android 4.4 KitKat revealed?

Hopefully they dump holo which is an utterly disgusting UI. The cheesy Tron theme is really ugly.

Google's Chrome and most Google apps have a nice clean flat UI that looks really nice to me.

Anyhow, this is what I have to say to those clamouring for an "overhaul" of Android....

Yeah I think so too. After the whole Hangouts thing, I started thinking that too. It sucks that he got banned though, I would have loved to hear what other information he had. That's just my selfish reasons though lol.

I think you are giving credit where it is not due. Even Google employees outside of a few didn't know the name until this morning according to several reports. It has just been assumed it would be KLP but an idea from a marketing team employee sparked mutual interest between both companies recently.

It's nice and lighthearted, for once, in a world of litigation and fierce competition. I dig it, too.

Ultimately, the important thing will be what 4.4 brings to Android, and how it's bringing it (new Nexus soon?).

I'm definitely hoping this, along with the Nexus 4 price drop, means a new Nexus is right around the corner.

I like how this was just announced and there's been no prior leaks (that I've seen anyway).
