lol, i watched 5 minutes. Turned it off when talking about watches. I just dont care about that. I do like that the power plug will now be universal instead of one way. I still havent ever bought a wireless charge pad.

And Android pay? Is that going to be different from Google Wallet?

Yes. Google Wallet was an app, Android Pay is an API. Android Pay is something that can be used by other apps. Samsung Pay, for example, could integrate Android Pay API.

"Google is pulling improvements that OEMs made in their custom builds and putting it in the main Android build."

Nice. Hope this means some of those nifty TouchWiz features.
Simple things like.being able to change lockscreen wallpaper independently from homescreen would be nice.

Folders in the app drawer with customisable ordering.

Also reduce size of icons on devices like N6 with the Google now launcher. At the moment they are just fraction toooooo big.

Tbh Google I/o is always a remarkably dull affair.

You can do all that with Nova and get icons packs.

I use it on every Android phone i have.

Me Too. I give the stock launchers a chance and i actually do flip to TW some times but the Google Launcher is awful imo. Ugly and severely lacking.

Nova just has so many features and i do change the icons and i have a seperate lockscreen wallpaper. However , my number badge is messed up. I can only have 3 emails and it will say i have 999+ or 300 til i click on it. Not sure why that is happening recently.

I like how Samsung still has a Gallery section and they are in there by the date. I didnt like how my Nexus 5 put my pics on Google+ and didnt have a gallery.

I always keep a current backup on G drive as well. Then when i flash a new rom on my N6 all i have to do is wait for the apps to come down...then restore the Nova backup and the phone is perfect!

Pretty ho hum, but closes the gap on a few things Android is still missing compared to the competition. And by competition, I mean iOS.

Yep, it finally happened.

Now to wait for the M preview to load onto my Nexus 6 and complain about crashes! :D

Google photos with unlimited storage and detachment from google plus is nice.

Curious though how many phones will actually see an update to Android M when lollipop is only on roughly 10 percent of devices out there.

Why is this a problem for you or anyone else? If someone wants a phone and requires the latest and greatest updates, they have an option to buy a phone that meets their needs.
Your complaint seems to echo a constant whine originating from the back halls of Apple U.

Well considering that over the past few years the first flagship level phones released with the latest version of Android (outside of Nexus devices) don't come out until 4-5 months later, I think it's a fair question.

Then buy Nexus. Seriously, how is this an issue for anyone? No one is forced to buy any phone. If your requirements demand the latest OS, you have options. Either buy Nexus or an iPhone (and soon Windows Phone).
People know going in that if the buy a Samsung phone, they aren't going to get timely updates.

Also a lot of the material design apps are available through the playstore. No need to upgrade when most of the features are already available.

A single device on Android is hardly a choice--especially when the Nexus phones are NEVER the best hardware available. Even worse when the only choice is a super-sized phablet that will most certainly not appeal to many people.

I'm sorry but I find it frustrating that the best hardware and latest software are rarely found together on the same device on Android.
