Love the new Photos app. When you have a plethora of devices having a decent app that works on nearly all of them is so handy.

Its vast improvement over photos from G+ especially on iOS

Installed it on my iPhone as soon as it was available. What I'm certain about though is whether it's just backing up all my photos from the Photos app on iPhone (and thus my entire photo library) or just what I had in Google Drive/G+.

Have they released an app for IOS? I'm working tonight so won't be able to check it out until the morning.

New app drawer is going to take some getting used to. Might be using Nova before long. 3 icons across is not going to cut it. Needs to be 4 or 5.

Yup, there's a direct link to it in the App Store in the front page article. I like it, has a Material Design look and love the tab on the left to quick scroll. Also nice that when scrolling it shows dates.

Cool thanks Guys. I'll wait for your feedback on it before I flash mine :)

I'd go more from Jamerz than me, since my Nexus isn't my daily driver anymore. But from my short use, it's been smoother than Lollipop. If I didn't have limited pocket space, I'd take it with me and test it out. >_>

I must admit i was rather dissapointed with this io in regards to M but i think all the hidden dev feautres that AP posted really has me excited.

The hidden dark ui, multi window and supposed app data backup up to 25mb. And customizable tiles are all longgggg overdue. We just need quick reply now and pie controls and expanded desktop mode and really i dont think i need root.

Editing features of new Photos app sucks balls compared to older version. The great filters are now gone. NO HDR, Drama etc... Feck em. They give with one hand and take with the other.....

OMG you're right! Just noticed you can't adjust the saturation, contrast, etc anymore! It's all retarded now!

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
So I had a look at the photos app and it's not for me, because it only stores 'high quality' photos in the free forever space, if you want to store the photos as you took them then it's limited to 15GB, still an improvement though.

I'm not sure what this 'dock' thing is that they were on about?

USB C, not un-expected.

And about time they brought multi window support to naked Android, stylus support is an interesting one though? Are they going to make a Note competitor Nexus?

Haven't really looked into the rest of it. Android Pay, why did they feel the need to copy Apple Pay naming?

Google Now On Tap sounds amazing though! Really impressive stuff.
Oh and I just read you'll be able to delete and re-arrange quick settings, good!

HBO NOW will also be coming to the Play store this summer, so that's cool, and I like the finger print integration although that is copying Apple.

Still I have no doubt next week Apple will copy Google's ideas on Now

So far Android M is very smooth. No stutterers no app closures. For a preview copy it is very very nice. All my apps work so far!!!

Hey guys, how white is the theme? Is it as bad as Lollipop? I'm hoping against hope that the whole awful white on off white theme is a thing of the past.

Yeah, doesnt look all that better to me. If there are no options to change things then there wont be any point for me to use it.
I understand it isnt finished yet so there could be more additions.

I believe you can make many of the elements into a dark theme. Some new setting in dev options

Woohoo yeah I just saw that. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2015/05/android-m-settings-theme/

Thank God, I'm excited for M just for that one feature.

:

It' stores Photos up to 16MP free. If the image is over 16MP it will downscale them to its max supported res of 16MP

Given its mostly intended for Smartphones this shouldn't be seen as a limitation.

If your shooting with a DSLR you likely aren't backing up to a cloud anyway, but the option is at least there.

Not directed at you apolloa - based on reading comments in the main article in news section.Let's face it people - it's a FREE service for the vast majority of its users. Yet one look at main news thread and its moan moan moan. The internet generation of expecting everything for nothing is at times sickening.

a lot of people rag on Samsung for having cartoonish looking icons on Touchwiz, IMO stock Android's icons aren't much better. They are on par with the cartoonish looks of Tocuhwiz.
