I haven't read anything about chipgate and I don't care about whatever "-gate" every year.

But iPhone users don't have the best battery life anymore. Easy to compare it to Nexus 5 which is atrocious. Compare the best vs best with battery life. Phones like the Galaxy Note series, Sony Xperia Z3 series, OnePlus One, and Huawei Ascend Mate 2 all surpassed iPhone 6 Plus last year.

Users are already used to 3500-4000 mAh battery packed in their Android phablets. And many Windows Phone have excellent battery life. A $50 Nokia Lumia 635 can give me 9-10 hours SOT on a puny 1830 mAh. That surpasses the iPhone 5 series easily. Nokia Lumia 640/730 series both have excellent stamina. Hitting 9-11 hr SOT is quite common on all three major mobile platforms. My LG G3 Beat gives me 9-10+ SOT and I don't need to lug around a huge phone to make it through the day. And I get a removable one too. Four years ago, that wasn't always the case since the iPhone 4 series offered double SOT hrs vs other OSes which offered 4-5 hrs at best. Now competition has caught up or surpassed it in some cases.
