I'm too fearful of iOS updates, as they have screwed up, for example, my iPad 4. From iOS 6 to 7. First iOS version which is supposedly stable. It was a lagfest. Apps crashing everywhere, taking loads of time to load, compared to iOS 6. That, coupled by my regret due to design changes, made me regret that update, and be fearful of updates altogether.
On my 9.7 Pro, I am still on 9.3.4 and I don't think that will change. I know I am missing out on a lot of positive things, but I don't have access to an Apple Store so if anything goes wrong, I'll have to suck it up and get used to the problem, however serious might it be. So, as I cannot fix any potential problems, I'll leave my Pro on the smoothest version ever. I'm not downloading many apps now, but that's my only issue with not updating: I lose app compatibility and the problem grows exponentially as time passes by. Regrading OS upgrades, I'd rather have less features than have a terrible working device.

In iOS 10 there were 2 columns. In iOS 11 there is 1. Apple did not specify that it was a deliberate change from 2 to 1, therefore it is reasonable to conclude that it is a bug.

I think stutter and crashing are bug, this is, I’m afraid, a deliberate choice.

I hate it, but it’s been this way since beta 1. It’s a major user-facing feature so it would have been changed by now and it’s still present in the iOS 11.1 beta. Apple doesn’t care to fix it or likes it this way.

Wife's new 10.5 and my 12.9 gen2 have 11.0.3 and seem to be operating well. We did update these right out of the box - not sure if that matters or not. No trouble with pencils or AirPods on my 12.9. Wish my iPhone 7+ behaved this well on 11.x.x
